The US has the power to put a stop to this by threatening to cut Ukraine off if it refuses but won’t because it believes that this might become useful down the line.

I wondered how a country like Ukraine, embroiled in and all-out war against Russia for over 3.5 years, can export arms and drones. I guess they are really corrupt. I'm sure the brave Ukrainian Soldiers could use all the drones that they can get.
I suppose a part of it could be they are selling these things to get other things to fight the war. What ever those things are. I suspect I may be overly optomistic to that interpretation.

The other things are luxury cars and villas in southern France for government officials and their families. There are many reports in Ukrainian media about soldiers having to pay for their own gear. The black market is full of military and civilian goods stolen from international aid. That's why the U.S. Congress resists auditing the aid to Ukraine, knowing that an honest audit would produce scandalous results. Zelenskyy signed a bill curbing Ukraine anti-corruption agencies to cover his ass and his thieving pals. He had to partially backtrack in the face of public protests.
Hey, man, we've gotta send all those Ukrainians we fucked up with murderous PTSD somewhere. They might be noticed in Europe, so let's just send them to Africa to help fuck things up to make it easier for our corporations to extract African wealth.
