And what the hell are Russia and China going to do about it? Russia and China are quickly running out of friends because the US keeps taking them down in coups and military interventions. The US wants to isolate Russia & China in order to destroy them economically and leave them without any supporters. Look at what happened to Syria. That's the US' Plan for Russia and China. You need to bog down the US in foreign wars that will hurt its economy in real ways.

I am slightly bewildered about what really happened with Cuban-American relations in the decade after 1991. This was the time when Boris Yeltsin (with the blessing of the Russian population in general) was begging to be incorporated as an organic part of the Western World. Was his modest request granted, the Western World would be in fantastic shape geopolitically today and America could stay in a hegemonic position easily.

Did Cuban obsession with communism alienate the relationship early on? Or was it a calculated refusal by America to play balls with Cuba? In case if things go real bad in the Caribbean and South America Russia might pull a Ronald Reagan on good ol’ USA. Meaning they can designate Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua as ‘Freedom Fighters’ and arm them toward true independence from the Monroe Doctrine, just like Reagan did to the Mujahedeen of Afghanistan. Russia might still rule a large part of Afghanistan was it not for the Stinger Missiles Reagan provided for that country.
