If Zelensky was a smart man he would make sure that Belarus will not enter into the war actively. There are already many videos with credible information stating that Russia’s planned deployment of Oreshniks in Belarus is already a fact. This reflects on a high level of confidence of the Russian leadership in Belorussia. Ukraine may get the EU90 Billion contribution from the EU soon after Orban was manipulated out of his position but getting actual major quantities of weapons into Ukraine will take time. During that time if Ukraine has to regroup a hundred thousand men to the Belarusian border that might be an opportunity for Russia to exploit.

Seemingly those 120000 ukrainian soldiers are already near the border.

'Seemingly'

120000 boys playing Desert of Tartars in front of peaceful Belarus border, that make a great reserve for Ukraine. PRNR should talk to us about that.

Ukraine needs to keep a visible deterrence to invasion along their border with Belarus, whether or not Lukashenko's regime would allow Russia to do so or not. It's the same reason Russia is keeping new armies positioned along their border with Finland and the Baltic states (to deter NATO adventurism).

BYELORSSIA IS A STORNG ALLY OF rUSSIA. THAT WILL NOT CHANGE. ZELENSKY IS JUIST AS CRAZY AS IS TRUMP. AMERICANS KNOW JUST HOW CRAZY HE IS, ZELENSKY MAY NOT BE VERY FAR FROM TRIUMP. AT SOME POINT REALITY WILL COME IN AND HELP BOTH OF THEM.

Yes. Regardless of any atrocity that Zelenskii might commit, he will still have the full and unconditional backing of the United States, as long as he continues the War On Russia.

It is obvious that the negotiations were simply the United States stringing Russia along and playing for time. Russia, being desperate to get out of this war, wants so badly to believe.

yes, in this matter, Russia has been less trapped by the USA than by China’s very measured and highly conditional support, and by India’s purely profit-driven backing.

I remain convinced that this is the real reason for Russia’s ‘restraint.
