Well said Andrew. The EU has to somehow instill fear as they again take on more debt to bolster each countries military. Putin has no interest which is easily proven but when you have control of the media it’s simple to craft a narrative the masses will believe because there isn’t an opposition to debunk it. The European citizens need to rise up and get control of their countries again. I see that happening all over Europe. Don’t you?
The EU has to somehow instill fear as they again take on more debt to bolster each countries military.
Somehow I don’t believe that the EU or Germany will manage to create a defensible army. The present still - Defense Minister Pistorius can not even say what happened with the 1st special assets (debts) for the Bundeswehr - fact they are all.
In addition to the border defense lines to be built by NATO, there seems to be no SE-NW direction roads through that area. All the roads in that area are in the NE-SW direction. This shows the historical traffic patterns. At least half of the direct path cuts through undeveloped land, full of forests, lakes, streams, and swamps. It is less hilly than the Ardennes, but much more difficult for mechanized forces to go through. The American armored recovery vehicle lost in the exercise was fairly close to that area, if not exactly along the direct path. And it was drowned in a swamp. For such a narrative from RUSI to work, we need a fairly ignorant general public in the West. And alas, we do have them.
But you forget the great reward that awaits the Russians when they will have conquered Europe: our multi-ethnic, crimefree, LGBTQ paradises, like Paris or Brussels, that, as everybody knows, make the Russians green with envy. Such prices are worth a new world war, I would think. "Paris vaut bien une messe" as the saying goes... (Sarcasm!)
The English feudal elite which calls the shots in Britain has become so used to talking gibberish, that it does not even occur to them to apply their minds a bit before speaking at least for their own credibility's sake. It takes a lot of mental effort, and investment of much precious time to produce quality content, but nonsense can be churned out even in a state of intoxication. The Suwalki corridor conspiracy theory is being iterated off and on and has been surfacing through different mouthpieces for the past 2 years ; agreed that its articulators may not be having better things to do, but should at least introspect and reflect on whether they are really doing anything constructive for earning their bread, or just adding to the cacophony of the sea of pointless literature in this world which does not contribute one bit to enhancement of anybody's useful knowledge on this planet. Some "analysts" just assume that readers are more naive than they are, and thrive on what they anticipate would be uncritical patronage from the audience. But the public is not so naive as some jokers assume, every human being has been endowed with a mind of his or her own, and it is naive to fool oneself into imagining that the public will actually believe everything that is in form of printed word eventhough it be crap. "Royal United Services",..... rings a bell. A textbook example in Indianis the front-end anchor of FirstPost, a xharming lady named Palki Sharma Upadhyaye (Pronkunced PulkEye ShouMe U PaidYa Eh in Anglosphere) who insinuates that Russia has been arming and instigating Houthies for attacks on western shipping, that Presudent Trump is a Russian saboteur asset codenamed Krasnov, that North Korean troops in Russia have been preoccupied with splurging on porn on Russian internet, and dwells at length on imaginary sexual escapades of President Putin as if she had been sleeping on the doormat in his bedroom to be privy to firsthand insider scoops : and makes pompuos announcements saying "New Delhi is watching..... India does not support Russia's invasion of Ukraine..", as if she were a previliged member of the cabinet's inner circle responsible for formulation of foreign policy. Interestingly, her own husband Sanket Upadhyaye, who is the talk of the town in tabloids for his exceptional bedroom chemistry with his wife, runs his own news channel and is a vitriolic unabashed hater of the Indian Prime Minister whom Palki seems desperate on wooing and currying favour with in her quest to cavort with power centres possibly to settle scores with professional rivals in journalism intrigues. Both are relatively non descrepit individuals with a larger than life megalomania. But when some falsehood is parrotted across a chorus of media outlets worldwide, it could be the harbinger of a potential false flag operation by the sponsors of such news, the hysteria thus evoked being meant to entrain public sentiment prempt popular opposition and to rationalise or justify the act.
I like what you write but I respectfully disagree with this part:
"and it is naive to fool oneself into imagining that the public will actually believe everything that is in form of printed word eventhough it be crap."
I'm afraid that most people do believe everything that is in form of printed word... There lies the rub.
That is the sad part, because a handful of selfish warmongers with zero morals driven by inexorable greed sometimes succeed in raking up mass-pseudo-nationalistic hysteria to justify their quasi-corporate intrigues, bringing in its wake untold eventual misery and destruction upon otherwise prosperous and thriving populations.
"I'm afraid that most people do believe everything that is in form of printed word... "
Thus is true but I see another aspect. People read mostly the tone of the fearmongering propaganda. They follow the general consensus in media. But when propaganda stunts go for long and become spectacular, people begin to think or precisely they tend to become critical. Traces of criticism, just near statistical error threshold may be sufficient to ditch all previous convictions and flip the side.
In my experience there are still plenty of them who gulp on propaganda but with every passing day the Ukronazi support or rather anti-Ruskie histeria is vaning, irreversibly. That is unless Ruskies actually invade Poland or Baltic rabids.
A blockade of Suwalki corridor is not "unlikely". It was actively discussed under the German Traffic-Light Coalition government (SPD, Liberals and Greens) that has been voted out in February but is technically still in power. Moreover, Colonel Roderich Kiesewetter, the CDU Defense Speaker in German Bundestag (who is probably going to have a major role in the new government) has suggested that a blockade should be done.
Sea blockade would be a brazen, transparent attempt at something which does not have any voters support, not even with propaganda turned at 11.
I see the whole shyte as desperate attempts to garner everlosing support for war against Ruskies. The more spectacular and diabolical attempt the more desperate they expose themselves to be.
The last Germans who lived in East Prussia are dying of old age, and didn’t inspire their descendants to take it back (for fear of being called Nazis). I doubt there is any enthusiasm in Germany to get it back even if it was handed to them on a plate.
RUSI has always been part of the establishment but when did they become outright regime propagandists, detached from reality? What are their credentials? Staying up all night playing Hearts of Iron??

Some kind of false flag seems more likely.
But then, Donald already declared he may exit out of Art. 5. So poor Swedes, Finns, Germans and Lithuanians could end up on their own.
He won't have a choice, if it comes to that.
Trump is a bullshitter, in Professor Frankfurt's sense of that term.
We'll wait and see.

"Paris vaut bein une messe" was only true 400+ years ago for Henri IV. Today? No.

Isn't it more likely German troops in Lithuania may attempt to retake Kaliningrad/Konigsberg?
Nope. The Germans probably plan a blockade on land (Suwalki) in combination with a sea blockade through Poland, Sweden and Finland.
Sea blockade would be a brazen, transparent attempt at something which does not have any voters support, not even with propaganda turned at 11.

Bam! Great article Andrewshka, thanks for posting

You had me convinced at point 1.
RUSI has always been part of the establishment but when did they become outright regime propagandists, detached from reality? What are their credentials? Staying up all night playing Hearts of Iron??
