SIPRI is a great site, thanks. Giorgia Meloni is the Italian PM two and a half years ago and she claims to be a populist. In fact she most likely is a populist with an occasional unique twist. Meloni went a little bit too far with conforming to the Biden/NATO policies but after all she is a woman and she learned how to be submissive. She is unlikely to be the initiator for the fast arm export growth but neither was she standing in the way. At least she did not send those goods to fuel the war in Ukraine. Poland is really not a surprise but it is a very serious financial commitment what they are doing there. I am counting on Serbia reorienting toward the Russian market as (hopefully) things keep normalizing there. The historical cooperation between those two nations has very deep roots.

Meloni could personally toss refugee toddlers alive and screaming into piranha tanks, and nobody would raise a peep, as long as American suzereignty over Italy in general and the War On Russia in particular were maintained.

I am not going to argue with you on this one for sure. The fact still remains that she moved aggressively on the population replacement issue at a time when when it was a NO! for most Western leaders. Had she spoken up against other critical questions she would have been raped publicly by the NWO boys in the center of the Colosseum.

She's under the EU overlordship as well as the courts totally against her. So she's just happy to stay in power on paper. With military production - I guess the EU is just fine with it, as along as a big part of it lands in Ukraine.

Whatever excuses you want to make.

I don't need to make excuses. She's the leader of the successor to the successor to the successor of Mussolini's party. If she is basically that careful, there is a good reason for that. There's a kind of world cold war between globalist woke islamogauchists aligned with deep state throughout the entire West on one side, and national conservatives on the other. Whether the nat cons are winning conclusively is a big question. Just look at France where they just banned Martine to stand for elections. And in Wisconsin, they didn't manage to get their candidate elected to the state supreme court.

If LePen had a different attitude towards the War On Russia and Americanhegemony, she would have nothing to worry about.

Being aligned to Donald is no protection in France, far from it.

She just does not sound like one of them. Are you sure?

Thank you! This is very informative and eye-opening.

KSA likely paid every cent for their purchase. In comparison, a significant portion of arms Israel obtained from the USA is free, not a trade. When there are actual trades, the pricing can be very different: just check the pricing difference between the projectiles for Patriots versus those of IronDome and David's Sling. The differences are not simply due to any possibly superior Israeli design genius.

The question of the Polish donation makes me wonder, what is the SIPRI methodology for the rankings? Is it based on a $USD value? If so, how is that arrived at? One would think that currency fluctuations and PPE vs GDP dynamics could exert a big influence on the rank order. Not to mention, how to value a gift that has no explicit sale price.

Thank you Andrew for examining the fine print.
