India’s Principled Neutrality Towards The Ukrainian Conflict Is Indeed People-Centric
Those who claim to #StandWithUkraine and thus disagree with India’s principled neutrality would do well to nevertheless respect its decision as a sovereign state. The optics of that majority-White movement whose members mostly reside within the Golden Billion obnoxiously pressuring one of the most populous majority-non-White Global South states in the world carries with it undeniably bigoted overtones suggesting that they’re denying this civilization-state’s right to an independent policy.
India has come under immense pressure from the US-led West’s Golden Billion and its associated perception managers, including this civilization-state’s own liberal-globalist intelligentsia, for its principled neutrality towards the Ukrainian Conflict. This pragmatic policy is predicated on Delhi’s desire to carefully balance between that bloc and the jointly BRICS- and SCO-led Global South of which it’s a part, all with a view towards accelerating the global systemic transition to multipolarity.
Despite articulating its stance on countless occasions, India’s policy continues to be misportrayed by the US-led West’s Mainstream Media (MSM), thus necessitating the need for this country to more effectively convey it to the masses. Therein lies the soft power genius behind Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador R. Ravindra reaffirming the people-centric nature of this policy in an attempt to get more folks to better understand its primary driving factor.
At home, this takes the form of India refusing to comply with the Golden Billion’s illegal anti-Russian sanctions since doing so would catalyze an economic crisis exactly like the EU’s increasingly worsening one that would further impoverish its already comparatively poor population. When applied abroad, India’s people-centric stance towards the Ukrainian Conflict is evidenced by its humanitarian aid to that crumbling former Soviet Republic as well as the other forms of support for fellow Global South states.
Taken together, there’s no doubt that India’s policy towards US-led NATO’s proxy war on Russia through Ukraine is indeed driven by principles, precisely those which are people-centric in both word and deed. Misportraying it as anything other than this is therefore malicious and meant to impose additional pressure upon India to recalibrate its stance. There’s doomed to fail since it’ll never unilaterally concede on its objective national interests though that still won’t stop the Golden Billion from trying.

It's one thing for that New Cold War bloc’s decisionmakers and strategists to be bigoted, which is already reprehensible enough as it is, and another entirely for average members of their society to espouse similar such discredited supremacist innuendo. They’re already doing so by normalizing Kiev’s ethno-nationalist hate speech against Russians so it’s regrettably unsurprising that they feel emboldened enough to expand their bigotry to India by pressuring it to change its foreign policy.
With this in mind, it can confidently be predicted that the SBU-backed fascist troll network that they’re part of will continue unwittingly eroding the Golden Billion’s previously unchallenged soft power among one of the Global South’s most populous states. Upon experiencing first-hand just how intensely many – but importantly not everyone – in Western society hate their multipolar Great Power’s independence, Indians will realize just how wise it was for their leaders to balance against that bloc.
