Dear friends, I was away for a few days because I was seriously ill. I'm recovering, thank God, but it might still be some time before I get back into my usual workflow.

Even when that happens, however, I don't expect to publish anymore on weekends since I'll need to look after my health some more. I deeply appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Pardon my ignorance, I think I have missed a major point somewhere.

Iran has been severely sanctioned by the West. What can be achieved by gaining painful and costly access to the Black Sea through Armenia and Azerbaijan? What if the effort is focused on Caspian Sea transport with Russia and upgrading direct rails to Turkey? And what is the point of improving transport connections to Turkey? Iran's current production can be sold completely inside Asia and maybe on the East Coast of Africa.
