The ruling liberal coalition has fearmongered that Russia might test Article 5 in months yet hypocritically thought nothing of giving Ukraine some of its Patriot missiles earlier this spring in the middle of the Third Gulf War after it was already obvious by then that they’d be in short supply.

Surely someone in our governments realise how cognitively dissonant they are being when they say things like:-

● Russia is weak when it allows Ukraine to cross its red lines with impunity and aggressive when it doesn't;
.
● Russia is doing so badly against Ukraine that it wants to take on the rest of NATO; and
.
● Russia is such a great threat that we are giving away our defensive weapons?!
They know full well. They don't care.
It's not cognitive dissonance, it's simply pure lie.
