What I love most about MAGA is how it gave a voice to people like me by normalizing discussions about previously taboo topics like illegal immigration, the drug crisis, deindustrialization of the Heartland (I'm from Cleveland, in the Rust Belt, which has been radically affected by this), so-called "reverse racism", and elite corruption.
You'd risk having your entire life ruined if you candidly discussed these topics pre-MAGA. I absolutely hate gaslighting, which I consider to be one of the most toxic forms of abuse due to the attempt to manipulate one's perception of reality, and I've been gaslit so many times and viciously smeared in person by so many people just for sharing my opinions.
I also distinctly remember explaining the actual reality of modern-day America to my foreign colleagues at MGIMO when I arrived in 2013 and most of them, while responding respectfully, though that I was embellishing to say the least. They and then my former Sputnik colleagues to whom I shared such views too now know that they were the truth.
It's extraordinarily frustrating to relate one's lived reality and be met with extreme skepticism because the topics that I talked about weren't widely reported on or mentioned in the media at the time, let alone in the ways that I described them, and then to have such views casually dismissed either as "conspiracy theorist" or bigotry.

I think MAGA was set up by Trump for a major spanking that will be handed down by the democrats soon.
