“Non-Russian Pro-Russians” need to realize that they were lied to by many of their top influencers about Russian-Iranian relations and Putin’s personal approach towards Israel since continuing to cling to the lie that he’s an anti-Zionist with all that entails only discredits their community as a whole.
I like to complement this with some of the things John Helmer posted in the past on his site, i.e. the disclosed transcripts of conversations between Poutine and various US presidents, where he shows contempt towards Iran, and willingness to fully collaborate with the US in shackling Iran, on the penetration of Islamist money and how the Jewish capital is better and should win. Furthermore, Poutin, according to Helmer, had no problem in letting Cuba hang out to dry, cancelling shopments to crude, and redirecting them to Brazil. It seems that he doesn't realize that no level of ingratiating himself to the US presidents will ever be enough, and that the US cannot stand a strong Russia, with a modern and dangerous nuclear arsenal. At least not this version of the US and not the one coming along in the shadow of Trump...
Projecting one's dislike of US imperialism and hegemony and Israeli genocide of wishful thinking that Russia or China, both usually known to be quite reactive countries in their mien, is a deluded person. All should remember that it was South Africa that took Israel to the International Court of Justice. It wasn't Russia and it wasn't China.
I don't understand these cuddly gestures from Putin toward Israel. Israel screwed Russia in Syria, Israel screwed Russia in Azerbaijan, and the most fierce Russophobes in the West are all ultra-Zionists—and conversely, all ultra-Zionists are fierce Russophobes. Sometimes I wonder. Lavrov is totally hypocritical. Who, if not he himself, receives the most eminent NRPR as if they were active diplomats? Who never puts them back in their place when it suits him? Right now, one can note a wind of change among the NRPR, and they will end up no longer being 'PR' at all, after being contradicted by those very people who encouraged them to spew cargoes of male bovine excrement. Watch out, Lavrov; watch out, Putin—if these people turn against you, the most hardcore NATO fans will look like nice little boys in comparison. You must not take your fans for idiots.
I'm not convinced that Putin is on an anti-Zionist crusade. However I have yet to see the evidence of pro-Zionist words or actions requested in a previous comment stream either...
The collection of quotes that I shared is perceived by most NRPRs and especially anyone affiliated with the "Resistance Axis" as "Zionism". At the very least, it's objectively proof of his friendly attitude towards Israel.
On that topic, this quote from late 2019 is one which really riles the "Resistance Axis", since they perceive it as supposed proof that Putin supports the "Russian-Jewish colonization of Palestine" as some have described it to me:
"Russians and Israelis have ties of family and friendship. This is a true common family; I can say this without exaggeration. Almost 2 million Russian speakers live in Israel. We consider Israel a Russian-speaking country."
They also REALLY don't like that the Russian State never jumped on the bandwagon of describing Israel's actions in Gaza as "genocide", which they perceive as "deference to the Zionists" and "selling out Palestine", at least among those who aren't brainwashed into thinking that its silence is part of yet another "5D chess master plan to psyche out the Zionists".
The Russian National Guard's official role in fighting anti-Semitism is also seen by them as proof of Russia supposedly being a "Zionist-Occupied Government" ("ZOG"):
Putin also committed himself to opposing Holocaust revisionism across the world, which they perceive as laundering an allegedly exaggerated, if not false, narrative (many NRPRs are at minimum skeptical of the official narrative about the Holocaust and pretty much every supporter of the "Resistance Axis" is too):
If anyone else said what Putin said below, they'd condemn it as "Zionism". It's indistinguishable from what participants at AIPAC conferences say:
"The memory of the Holocaust will serve as a lesson and a warning only if it remains fully intact, without any omissions. Unfortunately, today the memory of war and its lessons and legacy often fall subject to the immediate political situation.
This is completely unacceptable. It is the duty of current and future politicians, state and public figures to protect the good name of the living and fallen heroes, civilians and victims of the Nazis and their allies.
We must use everything we have – our informational, political and cultural capabilities as well as the reputation and influence our countries have in the world – to this end. I am sure that everyone present here today, in this audience, shares these concerns and is ready to protect truth and justice together with us.
We are all responsible for making sure that the terrible tragedies of this war will not happen again, that the generations to come will remember the horrors of the Holocaust".
Many hardcore anti-Zionists will never forgive Putin for what I he said below in 2021:
"I have noted many times, and I can repeat once again that, in my opinion, Ukrainians and Russians are a single people.
See for yourself: The Jews come to Israel from Africa, Europe, and other countries. Black people arrive from Africa, right? Those arriving from Europe speak Yiddish, rather than Hebrew. Although they are diverse, the Jewish people, nevertheless, cherishes its unity."
As long as neo-Sovietism functions as the state's official ideology, any critical reassessment of the Second World War and the Soviet occupation will remain impossible in Russia.
My point is that it's an objectively existing and easily verifiable fact that Russia isn't against Israel. Moreover, the USSR was the one that was opposed to Israel for decades, unlike the Russian Federation that emerged from it.
In fact, it's only some older Russians -- especially communists -- and some fringe youth who are against Israel here, most Russians either have strong opinion about it or like it to varying extents.
But it is Zionism that wants to conflate Judaism with Zionism which it is not. Lately it is easy to do due to the severity of actions of the state of Isreal.
Yes I agree with you today but the creation of zionism is different and the creation of Isreal itself was different, there were the kibbutzim and the Zionists fighting for control of Isreal whilst the religious were in the background. Should we therefore be like the peasants in the Pale and join Khelmnitsky. The Orthodox Jews demonstrate against Zionist actions against the Palestinians and have for a long time, they are the religious Jews that would suffer.
I personnaly know lot of Jews who don't give a shit of Israel and sionism and are fed up with the "representative" jewish institutions which pretend that 90% of jews are sionist.
And being sionist is not necessary being ok with Netanyahou and his bunch of genocidals
Russia doesn't officially consider it to be otherwise it would have used such terminology to describe it already. By contrast, it officially considers Ukraine's attacks against Donbass from 2014-2022 to be an anti-Russian genocide despite many times less civilians being killed.
Before saying anything more, I think it is important that we define what we mean by "Zionism". It seems to me that this term covers a broad spectrum of activity, with three major points on the continuum:-
(ONE) The Jews continuing to occupy part or all of the land they currently occupy ("The Minimalist Position");
(TWO) Israel expanding its territories to include all of the land between the Nile and the Euphrates ("Greater Israel"); and
(THREE) Israel expanding its territories to include dominion over the whole planet. This is the Talmudic ambition for the "end times", which Winston Churchill described as a "world-wide conspiracy for the overthrow of civilisation and for the reconstitution of society on the basis of arrested development, of envious malevolence, and impossible equality" ("Zionism Versus Bolshevism: A Struggle for the Soul of the Jewish People"; published in the Illustrated Sunday Herald (London) on 8th February 1920).
Looking at these in reverse order, Putin has spoken vehemently about his fight being against the satanic and pedophilic banking families, particularly the Rothschilds. I think that people take from this that he is against all forms of Zionism. They are encouraged in this belief by Psychological warfare programs, such as Q-Anon.
As for the more localised forms of Zionism, I believe that the 1948 partition of Palestine was wrong and various aspects of the Nakba were evil. While I am 100% against any expansion of Israel's current borders, I'm not sure that every Israeli should have to leave land some of their ancestors might have lived on for nearly 80 years. I think that if a one state solution cannot be achieved, Israel's borders should be rolled back to create a fair two state solution. Can you quote anything said by Putin which is inconsistent with him holding a similar view?
One other thing we must remember is that a disproportionate number of the oligarchs created by the American system of "Shock Therapy" are Jewish and have Israeli passports. Although Melnichenko wrote in the Economist that the Oligarchs are no longer involved in politics, it would be unwise of Putin to antagonise them unnecessarily. The same would be the true of the 2 million Israelis that Putin claims speak Russian.
A bigger question is "Why is Russia so adamant in its denials" ? The US doesnt hide the fact its sanctioning Russia and providing weapons to its enemies to kill Russians with. What is Russia and China so scared of ?
Given that many of these NRPRs are close to Iran, one may reasonably ask whether Iranian state agents are using them to redirect U.S. assets from the Persian Gulf to Ukraine. U.S. stockpiles are divided between these theaters, so hard-pressed Iran has a motive to spread rumors about Russian aid. (World War III among "infidels" helps Islamism, too, given the MAD of Israel's U.S. and Russian backers.)
If Trump comes to believe Russia arms Iran, then he may well be more likely to reach a deal with Tehran at the cost of backing the EU, his "liberal-globalist" Democratic foes (who are more critical of Russia–Israel ties than Ukraine), and "NATO 3.0" in Ukraine. Any deescalation in Iran likely means escalation in Ukraine. Many NRPRs also see Putin as insufficiently "revolutionary".
Trump is very likely to lose the midterms as a result of the Iran war, while his Democratic and Republican critics—notably the former—are more averse to Israel than Ukraine. The EU is heavily influenced by Muslim demographics, many of which are cool toward Russia for historical as well as geopolitical and ideological reasons. (Al-Qaida, ISIS, and other Islamists have fought for the AFU.)
I've long suspected that those top NRPR influencers who've visited Iran in the past and/or are regularly platformed by its media are fed lies about Russian-Iranian relations to launder.
I know that, but in this case I suspect that Iran—given its geopolitical astuteness and timing—is seeding its NRPR influencers in order to goad Trump into opposing Putin more aggressively. Surely Iranian state agents know that the U.S. is struggling to balance its commitments in Ukraine, the Persian Gulf, and elsewhere.
They also likely realize that using NRPRs to spread PSYOPs about Russian aid to Iran (be it arms or ISR) will almost certainly cause Trump to escalate in Ukraine, in part due to political pressure by anti-Russia hawks. Western MSM have widely picked up on the same "sources" these NRPRs use for their reports on Russian "aid" to Iran.
Given that these NRPRs also share the same media space or "ecosystem" as Iranian state or state-adjacent actors, not to say leftist–Islamist views, they are perfect conduits for "anti-Zionist" obsessions such as the Epstein files (often promoted by anti-Trump actors as well), articles about the influence of "Jews" on Putin or his regime, and so on.
If all this is true, then Iran and its NRPR interlocutors, along with anti-Russia Western elites, are guilty of trying to hinder Trump's war on Iran in order to cynically bring him closer to World War III in Ukraine. Regardless of one's views on Israel or Netanyahu, an objective observer can rather clearly see the links and motives outlined above.
I don't think Iran with the sanctions ongoing has all that money. The money part is probably coming from China. It is also much easier for China because it has so much trade surplus with the US. So it can easily let a US intermediary profit, who would later redirect part of the profit to whomever.
Have you ever suspected that the Chinese lifeline, like the Russian, is part of a furtive yet sophisticated act of revenge by Iran over China and Russia's shared ties to Israel? In other words, is Iran coyly nurturing rumors of Chinese (and Russian) aid in order to goad Trump into a world war among "infidels"?
No. Probably the US may come to the view it can't establish deterrence over Hormuz unless using nukes, and similarly, Russia may feel the same way about its Western near-abroad, that is Ukraine, Baltics and Finland.
On the other side, if US is targetting Russian economy via drones and satellite surveillance, probably Russia is reciprocating the same way via Iran. So there maybe a lot of room for grown-up talk between Trump and Putin.
The EU has funded UNWRA and the Palestinian Authority for decades, while Israel has tried to defund them. The EU also was the main backer of the JCPOA, which Israel—or at least Bibi—hated.
The EU, along with the UK, has also refused to send a naval mission to Hormuz as Bibi and Trump wished (while the UK, no longer an EU state, allows the U.S. to use its bases for some operations).
None of this mentions the fact that many Jewish and Israeli targets in northwestern Europe have been attacked by the migrant waves European regimes have enabled.
Those are all actions to placate the EU public, which has never supported Israel as much as the US population. The EU also has a large Muslim population adding another factor. The other things you mentioned are just minor "soap opera" maneuvers for public consumption or to confuse Iran and others.
None of these things is cosmetic since Israel has reacted strongly in each case. All that matters is the fact that the EU is far from being pro-Israel and is certainly much less so than the U.S., as you said.
Jewish elites in Europe (aside from Kalergi Neo-Marxist Soros) did not want to import so many Muslim migrants to begin with, knowing how anti-Zionist and/or anti-Jewish many of them are.
I will start calling the EU pro-Israel once it begins to openly align with the U.S. on Middle-Eastern issues, including Hormuz, Israeli settlements, and military action against Iran. I doubt that will happen.
Several Jewish organizations and human rights groups operate across Europe and the United Kingdom, specifically advocating for refugee protection, humane asylum policies, and migrant rights, often drawing on both Jewish history and values:
1. HIAS Europe
Scope: Pan-European (headquartered in Brussels, Belgium)
Focus: Operating as the European branch of the global HIAS network, HIAS Europe supports European Jewish communities, organizations, and activists in welcoming and integrating refugees. They run community-based reception programs (such as Welcome Circles for individuals displaced from Ukraine across multiple European countries) and actively lobby European Union institutions to uphold the right to asylum and humane migration policies.
2. IRAP Europe (International Refugee Assistance Project)
Scope: European operations based in Berlin, Germany
Focus: IRAP Europe uses legal advocacy, strategic litigation, and direct casework to help displaced people find and access safe pathways to European countries. Their work focuses on expanding family reunification rights, humanitarian visas, humanitarian corridors, and private community sponsorship.
3. René Cassin (The Jewish Voice for Human Rights)
Scope: Primarily United Kingdom, with networks across Europe
Focus: Named after the French-Jewish jurist and co-drafter of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, this UK-based charity campaigns heavily on asylum and immigration issues. They actively challenge harsh border policies, oppose indefinite immigration detention, and advocate for safe and legal entry routes for asylum seekers.
4. HIAS+JCORE
Scope: United Kingdom
Focus: A partnership between HIAS and the Jewish Council for Racial Equality (JCORE), this group focuses on domestic advocacy and support for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, working to ensure newcomers can rebuild their lives within a society free from racism.
5. CEJI – A Jewish Contribution to an Inclusive Europe
Scope: Brussels-based with programs across multiple European nations
Focus: Established as an international non-profit, CEJI works to combat xenophobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and discrimination targeting migrants and refugees. They focus heavily on diversity education, intercultural dialogue, and policy advocacy to promote an inclusive, pluralistic European society.
Those organizations are likely Soros fronts—at least in part. The Jews involved are more (Neo-)Marxist than Zionist, given their internationalist, leftist orientation. (None of this, of course, addresses allegations that Soros is a secret Muslim convert and Iranian–Qatari agent posing as a secular "progressive.")
HIAS has been bought by US Democrat money*. It's a bit like ADL that for the last 10 years was promoting woke (and in its results anti-Israel) policies. ADL staff were caught tearing down posters of Israeli hostages in Gaza. See for example Yazmeen Deyhimi.
ADL is "saying" it is currently reassessing its policies, but HIAS is staying the course.
* This is not surprizing because same people donate to Democrats and to HIAS, so they work to ensure matching in objectives.
The U.S. needs European help to effectively open Hormuz and blockade Iran, which is not forthcoming. Trump has repeatedly issued—and retreated from—threats to unleash all-out destruction, such as plans to demolish "all" bridges and power plants were Iran not to fulfill its side of a deal. Now he is only talking about hitting either a bridge or a power plant for every ship sunk. This means Trump is too weak to ruthlessly wage war and achieve a win.
I am quite sure that the EU and its Islamist handlers will succeed in diverting Trump from Iran to Ukraine, thus saving the IRI from a nuclear cul-de-sac. Iran knows it is far smarter and more ruthless than its foes (claims of omnipotent Western brutality are just a smokescreen that inverts reality).
Trump is unwilling to avenge the many civilian deaths Iran and other Islamist entities have inflicted on non-Israeli Western targets alone. Iran will continue to kill with impunity because it knows that it secretly runs most of the West and that Trump, unlike Iran and Co., is just too humanistic.
Not so much. They (W Europe and part of the US) have bought into the utopia popular in Germany during WW1 and rebrought into focus in Hitler's table talks about how fantastic it would be if Germans (now, 70 years later, Europeans and USA) were Muslims instead of the loath to fight Christians. WW1 and then WW2 Germans imagined they would be unbeatable if Muslim.
Obviously, the utopia had its basis in the Axis-Turkey alliance in WW1. Not that it much helped German offence posture then. But it shows that Adolf Hitler was busy reading and collating his Weltanschauung from all the Feldpost-Editorials he could get during WW1.
Because the US doesn't always prioritize Israel's interests over its own, and the geopolitical differences between Russia and the US are far more than the common ground that they share as close partners of Israel.
By the way, you probably aren't aware of it (or so I assume based on your question), but Israel isn't even officially designated by Russia as an "unfriendly state" because they don't formally comply with the sanctions.
This fact trips up the conspiratorial NRPRs who can't explain why Israel supposedly ordered the US to destroy Russia by proxy via Ukraine and sanctions yet won't sanction Russia itself.
The most that I've been able to get out of them whenever I challenged them was that Israel is supposedly trying to hide its role in allegedly sparking the Ukrainian Conflict, and Russia knows but is trying to "psyche out the Zionists" by not designating Israel as unfriendly.
I will add, however, that under Netanyahu Israel eventually agreed to help Ukraine develop a civil-defense system to detect incoming Russian strikes, though not interceptors, and also began sending some "humanitarian" aid, including technical expertise in removing mines:
A good illustration is the diplomatic recalibration Biden made vis-à-vis Israel–Russia ties in 2023, at a time the U.S. approved a China-led Saudi–Iranian normalization in return for a JCPOA 2.0.
Not only did Israel oppose this, but Bibi also rejected U.S. requests that Israel defensively arm Ukraine or offer more "humanitarian" aid.
Notably Israel did this because it did not want to upset the deal it had with Putin re: IRGC activities in Syria (a deal Trump 1.0, incidentally, sanctioned in 2017):
Interestingly, U.S.–Israel ties are inversely correlated relative to the influence of "liberal-globalist" and "national-conservative" factions in each state.
When the former gains ascendancy, it favors a relaxed posture toward Iran and a hostile one toward Russia. The latter prefers vice versa.
U.S.–Israel and Russia–Israel relations are fundamentally misunderstood. Neither fit the kinds of caricatures that have been put out on all sides. There are different interests, groups, networks, and ideologies at work in all three states.
The fact is that each side acts in a transactional way that furthers its aims and is subject to changing power configurations. Both Biden and Trump have in fact diverged from Bibi on some rather major issues, such as judicial reform, Syria, and so on.
I think maybe pointing out the names of people representative of "NRPR"s saying these things would be more credible than generalizing about a community. It feels very strawman-ish without anything concrete.
I think the sentiment that Putin is a secret crypto-Jew doing Zionist bidding from the inside is more common than believing he's an anti-Zionist among foreign supporters of Russia. In any case, it's not a monolithic belief, one way or another, in that crowd. I'm not sure "community" is the right word either as it is a very varied group of people.
The issue of course is that Russia's relations with Israel are complex and nuanced, probably moreso than most other countries. It's more common to hear Russian spoken on the streets in Tel Aviv than it is to hear Hebrew or Arabic due to the large number of Russian Jews who made aliyah. Unlike almost every other Jewish group in Israel, they retain their Russian identity.
On the other hand, Putin clawed back much of the state that was given for pennies on the dollar to Jewish oligarchs at the fall of the Soviet Union (mostly because some of the earlier refuseniks who left for Israel when the gates opened in the 70s had accumulated capital, and no one else had any experience with the rough environment of newly "free" Russia in the 90s). Even more dangerously, he passed a law forbidding dual citizens from holding Russian government jobs (as a side effect from excluding them from security clearances). That affected almost only Jewish dual citizens of Russia and Israel, and an almost identical law passed by Hitler was the push of the stone down the mountain that started the events of WWII (it launched the international Jewish boycott of Germany).
All of that is before you begin looking at the geopolitical chessboard realities of relations between the two countries, which has to be among the most complex of any two nations in the world in terms of third-party nation's affect on inter-Russian and Israeli relations).
The boycott happened very early in the history of the Nazi party (1933), and greatly strengthened it. The Nazi party organized a nationwide boycott of Jewish businesses a month after it started which led to Kristallnacht. It also sparked the first of the Jewish Laws in Germany, and the continuing international Jewish boycott of Germany built Goebbel's career in propaganda and gave him constant fodder leading up to the Nurenberg Laws (anti-Jewish laws) eighteen months after the international boycott started.
Many Jews - almost all German Jews and many in the diaspora - were strongly opposed to the international boycott, arguing that it would backfire and cause intense repression against German Jews. Which it did. It greatly strengthened the Nazi party because it gave them clear proof for the German public that Jews were the menace - hundreds of thousands of ethnic Germans starved to death as a direct result of the Jewish boycott of their country.
The supporters and promoters of the boycott were also to the last ardent Zionists. At that time, the Zionist project's biggest problem was lack of Ashkenazi Jews willing to move to the British Mandate (Palestine ). The history is pretty clear that in addition to outrage over the Nazis coming to power, they also had the motivation of ratcheting up pressure on German Jews (the wealthiest and most capable of European Ashkenazi) to make aliyah and migrate to the new Zion. The boycott was intentionally designed to stoke the flames of Jew hatred in Germany by the boycott's architects (one of the reasons they boycotted critical food stuffs, knowing it would lead to food shortages in Germany).
It's speculation that the Nazi party wouldn't have succeeded in taking dictatorial control of the country without the Jewish boycott. But there's a good case to be made for it.
Are you sure that the boycotters were Zionists? At the time the World Zionist Organization and wealthy German Jews—many of whom relocated to Palestine under the SS-backed Haavara Agreement—strongly opposed the boycott.
My impression is that Marxist-led Jewish groups spearheaded the boycott, not their bitter Zionist foes (many of the latter made tactical deals with the Nazis in return for aliyah, something Hitler himself encouraged). Only after Kristallnacht did Jews unite.
I'm not an expert on the topic at all. I do know that German Jews universally opposed the boycott, and were also largely indifferent or mildly opposed to the Zionist project. Germany was very welcoming to Jewish people migrating from the Tsarist regime in the half century before the Nazi party gained power, and many of them were successful in building lives in Germany.
The American Jews were strongly in favor of the boycott as a whole, and also largely supported Zionism. I think what you mean by "Marxist-led Jewish groups" is more accurately stated as the U.S. Jewish groups that were financially supported / controlled by a few people who also supported the Soviet Marxists. I don't think the groups and that leadership were one and the same, any more than U.S. Jews as a whole and Miriam Adelson share the same views and concerns.
Other Jewish groups seem like they varied on whether they supported or opposed the boycott, mostly on a national basis. Those in favor were militantly so (largely because they had the hidden agenda of using the boycott to drive immigration to Palestine), and they browbeat everyone else in the transnational Jewish groups on the issue until they got their way.
I'm Jewish. I'm not a Zionist. I should have checked my facts on the date of kristallnacht before posting that. It sounds like you dismissed everything I laid out on a single mistake in timeline (which is fair enough, but doesn't lead to understanding historical events better).
My family was personally affected by all of those events, and I heard about them first hand from my great-grandmother. Her family immigrated from a shetl in the Pale (where the fighting is taking place in Ukraine now) when the pogroms became severe. She grew up in Germany, and migrated to the United States because of the widespread hunger the Jewish boycott caused in Germany. It was a stupid idea, and calling criticism of it "antisemitism" is an even stupider idea.
All Jews are automatically Israeli citizens. Has to Putin asked Jewish politicians in Russia to formally renounce their Israeli citizenship ? If not, the law is for show or to be used against other nationalities.
All Jews are eligible for Israeli citizenship. There's a difference. Once a person has obtained Israeli citizenship, it's very difficult to relinquish officially. Most Russian Jews obtain Israeli citizenship and do so for their children, because traveling on an Israeli passport is much easier than traveling on a Russian passport - for example, Israelis have the same benefit U.S. passport holders do where they're allowed six months visa-free in the Schengen zone. It's nearly impossible now for Russian passport holders to get EU visas.
Mikhail Mishustin is Jewish and the Prime Minister of Russia. He never obtained Israeli citizenship - and would not be eligible for his office if he was. The Russian Ministries of Justice and Ministry of Internal Affairs did not state why the rule came into force when it was introduced. It applies to any second nationality, including nationalities like Monaco. It just happens to almost entirely affect dual Israeli/Russian nationals.
Part of the reason for that is that foreigners gaining Russian citizenship are required to give up their native citizenship, and desirable citizenships (western) are very difficult for Russians to get. Pretty much the only Russians who do obtain foreign citizenship (outside of Jewish citizens and oligarchs) are Russian women who marry westerners - and politics / positions of power or responsibility in the federal government are still very much male-dominated. Women married to westerners with western citizenship are fairly uninterested in lower-level lower-paid federal jobs like clerk positions.
Thank you for posting that link. I know a few people who might be interested in it. One of the "loopholes" in the past is that Russian law specified a certain format for renouncing your former citizenship - a certified letter sent to the ambassador of that country. Most countries accept that letter and expatriates the person from it. But the U.S. doesn't recognize it because you also have to pay an exit tax with a specific tax declaration to be expatriated from U.S. citizenship.
So at least some U.S. citizens were able to take Russian citizenship, renounce their U.S. citizenship in accordance with Russian law, but the renunciation never took affect because they didn't also file or pay the tax documents (which Russian law doesn't require as a special case).
Those are just formalities on paper. Each Jew knows where they can run away to and get automatic citizenship. Unless they formally renounce this "right" they are suspect.
Every Jew has the right to aliyah - to gain Israeli citizenship. There is no "running away" to obtain it, there's a formal and well known procedure to establish one's qualification for the right and to exercise that right. It's not automatic - you have to take Hebrew classes for example. Israeli citizenship can be denied to anyone (Jew or non-Jew) based on certain grounds, like being a fugitive from justice or certain past convictions.
There is no renunciation of the right to aliyah that has any legal effect. If you are qualified, you either exercise it, or you don't.
Lol. While Iran is perfectly capable of manufacturing a lot of its own weapons, it's common knowledge with anyone remotely connected to the intelligence community that both Russia and China are supplying Iran with both weapons and intelligence.
The US or Israel, I forget which, attacked that port on the Caspian Sea for a reason, and the Russian Government loudly let them know that was completely unacceptable, again for a reason. There haven't been any more strikes there, have there?
The US Empire can hardly complain. After all, that's how the game is played.
Use Occam's razor on this one ;)
This would require an assertiveness and aggressiveness that Russia entirely lacks.
Oh well, remember the breathy reports of Oreshniks and Russian troops and submarines in Venezuela before the US takeover?
LOL how could I forgot? Thanks for the chuckles, I always laugh when I think about them! (no sarcasm or exaggeration either)
The world is much less cinematic and a hell of a lot nastier than alt-media imagines.
What is funny(or not) is that you can be 64, uses of human politician baseness and still be surprised
Finster's First Law readeth thusly:
No matter how cynical you think you are, you are not nearly as cynical as the people who run things are.
I'm not convinced that Putin is on an anti-Zionist crusade. However I have yet to see the evidence of pro-Zionist words or actions requested in a previous comment stream either...

The Russian National Guard's official role in fighting anti-Semitism is also seen by them as proof of Russia supposedly being a "Zionist-Occupied Government" ("ZOG"):
https://www.rt.com/russia/605502-russian-national-guard-jewish-community-accord/

Although they are diverse, the Jewish people, nevertheless, cherishes its unity."
http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/65973
They consider it to be an expression of support for the "Zionist colonization of Palestine".
The amount of Jews supporting Israel / Zionism must be in the 90s% . Meaning, for the most part, Judaism = Zionism.
What are your sources for saying such craps?
I personnaly know lot of Jews who don't give a shit of Israel and sionism and are fed up with the "representative" jewish institutions which pretend that 90% of jews are sionist.
And being sionist is not necessary being ok with Netanyahou and his bunch of genocidals
Is it a genocide ? If it is, Russia has duty to call it out.
Russia doesn't officially consider it to be otherwise it would have used such terminology to describe it already. By contrast, it officially considers Ukraine's attacks against Donbass from 2014-2022 to be an anti-Russian genocide despite many times less civilians being killed.
Then they're opportunistic hypocrites as far less Russians have died in Donbass then Palestinians in the occupied territories.
Hypocrisy is the root of all evil.
And I'm discovering a miserably hypocritical Russia.
It's not pleasant
Unfortunately that seems like hypocrisy Andrew, the duality of their position.
Before saying anything more, I think it is important that we define what we mean by "Zionism". It seems to me that this term covers a broad spectrum of activity, with three major points on the continuum:-
(ONE) The Jews continuing to occupy part or all of the land they currently occupy ("The Minimalist Position");
Unhinged Likudites like Amir Weitmann also contribute to the narrative, e.g.,
https://youtu.be/iX30OQobMXk
https://youtu.be/7x0GX4OlyRc
" The EU is heavily influenced by Muslim demographics, many of which are cool toward Russia "
But they're not cool to Israel. Why doesnt the EU take that into account ?
The EU has funded UNWRA and the Palestinian Authority for decades, while Israel has tried to defund them. The EU also was the main backer of the JCPOA, which Israel—or at least Bibi—hated.
The EU, along with the UK, has also refused to send a naval mission to Hormuz as Bibi and Trump wished (while the UK, no longer an EU state, allows the U.S. to use its bases for some operations).
None of this mentions the fact that many Jewish and Israeli targets in northwestern Europe have been attacked by the migrant waves European regimes have enabled.
Where is your "Zionist" EU?
" Jewish elites in Europe (aside from Kalergi Neo-Marxist Soros) did not want to import so many Muslim migrants to begin with"

Even if EU allies with US on Hormuz, they will continue anti-Israel funding. Just as they will stay anti-Russia.
The U.S. needs European help to effectively open Hormuz and blockade Iran, which is not forthcoming.
They are very cool to Israel. Next to Russia, Israel's EU #2 enemy. They are ready to break off trade.
Iran runs the West ?
Can you translate all that into English please ?
So if Russia/Putin is a friend of Israel, why is the US (Israel) trying to ruin them?
I will add, however, that under Netanyahu Israel eventually agreed to help Ukraine develop a civil-defense system to detect incoming Russian strikes, though not interceptors, and also began sending some "humanitarian" aid, including technical expertise in removing mines:
https://www.timesofisrael.com/zelensky-happy-in-wake-of-netanyahu-meeting-ukrainian-official-says/
Notably:
"Netanyahu has bucked repeated requests by Zelensky to visit Ukraine, making him one of the only Western leaders who has not made the trip."
Notably Israel did this because it did not want to upset the deal it had with Putin re: IRGC activities in Syria (a deal Trump 1.0, incidentally, sanctioned in 2017):
https://www.cnbc.com/2023/06/29/israels-netanyahu-concerned-its-defense-systems-may-reach-iran-if-sent-to-ukraine.html
Because if Poutine is a friend of Israël, Israël is not at all a friend of Russia.
What???? The cause of WW2 is the international jewish boycot of Germany?
You really believe that? or you're just drunk?
Amazing tovread such bullshit.
Crystal night is 1938...
You confuse everything to feed your antisemitism.
Not the full cause, but it sure contributed.
You’re right, but in 2020, Russia changed the law to where you don’t have to renounce your citizenship to get Russian citizenship:
https://tandslaw.com/changes-to-citizenship-procedures/
Loopholes abound ;)
Could you quote some of such NRPR ? I confess, this doesn’t ring any Bell to me!
