One can't speak " naivety" concerning an old cunning autocratic survivalist like Loukachenko and his bunch.

This kind of b...d doesn't care about humiliation.

He is preparing a cozy retirement and the future of his family. His bunch have the choice: joining the harsh (and perceived as already lost )fight of Russia, a country which historically is not theirs. Or. Selling the most expensive possible their tiny country to the empire and becoming wealthy, respected compradores.

Change your place with them. What is your choice?

TL; DR, unlike his predecessors, Trump doesn't bother to pretend that his vassals are not vassals. Not equals, not even subordinates, but vassals.

It's the only reason why I'm grateful.

The only one.

He shows to european morons( and they are legions, and they are not alone), the true face of USA as soon as you switch Hollywood projectors off

The sight of european leader clapping like trained seals is also most instructive.

Of course, by not getting the paperwork approved, Belarus did manage to dodge problems with having a foot in both camps. I'm not certain I would read into this much just yet, it could just be face saving as Lukashenko seemed to jump the gun before Putin decided about the whole BoP thing.

What USA did in Ukraine can not and has not done in Byelorus. Ukraine has a buch of Banderovtse which Byelorus never had. One stays by Russia while the other ( some of them) want to be seperate. A way to peace in Ukraine is to have half of it (eastern & southern) become part of Russia while the western part become

'independent". My father who came from western Ukraine would say thet Ukraine must be from the Polish border to the Pacific Ocean. Thet makes sense.
