What amazes and dismays me is the absolute submission of the Europeans, especially the Germans, who accept without flinching that the USA destroys their access to cheap Russian gas, ruining their billions of euros in investment and the economic model of the entire European Union, and then accept that the same USA recovers the very same Nord Stream at a bargain price, controls it, and resells Russian gas to them at exorbitant prices. Since he is now in power, there is little EU or the US can do. Elections are another 4 years away, and if he loses, Orban will come back to power.
