He wants more US support for his allied opposition party ahead of fall 2027’s next parliamentary elections, expects to be perceived as the future of European conservatism over Orban no matter the outcome of the latter’s upcoming elections, and seeks to contrast himself with the AfD’s co-leaders.
"The geopolitical implications are self-evident seeing as how the AfD supports a truly sovereign Europe while PiS supports a Europe in de facto junior partnership with the US."
Is it fair to say that not only PiS, but most Polish parties are on this same page? If yes, is it fair to say that the Poles have no business in the European Union?
Most Poles want to remain in the EU, including PiS, which wants to radically reform it to restore more national sovereignty to the member states. The question therefore, in my opinion, boils down to whether the EU can realistically stand on its own as an equal to the US -- even a competitor in some ways perhaps -- or if the most realistic scenario is trying to become to obtain as many benefits as possible as a junior partner:
I think that neither Poland, Baltes, Romania, Bulgaria or Slovakia and even Greece has something to do in a real EU. We really have a long common history with the kingdoms of Bohemia, Hungaria and with Styria and Carynthia ( Croatia Slovenia).
And those country don't give a shit of a sovereign and independant Europe and will always do their possible to infeodate us to USA.
We were forced by USA and UK to admit them. She should throw them out or stop EU.
I totally agree that for instance the south eastern Europeans have nothing to do with Europe. Neither Romania nor Bulgaria have sent their Jewish citizens to the concentration camps and neither overlorded over an authoton population. The Germans, half autistic that they gassed 6 million people and killed another 25 million Slavs? The French with their night of Saint Bartolomew, and their revolution that declined the same rights to the Haitians. To be recognized, Haitian Republic had to pay such a huge debt, it only ended 150s plus years after the Haitian Revolution. No, we are definitely not such civilized people. And don't let me continue with the Belgians, or the Spaniards, or the Portughese, or the Dutch.
And a Europe run by Germans is a different kind of hell. The Germans are wholly committed to the killing of Palestinians and Merz was praising the Israelis for doing the Europe's dirty work with Iran. You can really keep that Europe to yourself.
Technically, he is somewhat correct. The original gas chamber at Auschwitz was partially demolished and converted into an air raid shelter for SS hospital staff in 1944, in order to destroy the evidence of crimes. What you see in the museum today, is a reconstruction build without original plans and documentation. It is uncertain how closely it resembles the original. AFAIK, Braun doesn't deny that hundreds of thousands Jews were exterminated by the Nazis. His skepticism regarding gas chambers is a bit peculiar, though. Maybe he got it from David Irving.
«The geopolitical implications are self-evident seeing as how the AfD supports a truly sovereign Europe»
That is a yuuuge claim as sovereignty and independence are matters of fact not or loud declamations while wearing imposing hats.
Europe and Germany are utterly dependent on imports and exports via sea routes completely controlled by the USA and therefore easily "sanctioned", and have large "stay behind" fifth-columns and therefore easily "color revolutioned". Even restoring Nordstream would only help partially.
«whether the EU can realistically stand on its own as an equal to the US -- even a competitor in some ways perhaps -- or if the most realistic scenario is trying to become to obtain as many benefits as possible as a junior partner»
Indeed the lesson of Suez in 1956 and of WW2 and WW1 earlier and more recent events show that the european states cannot yet avoid being vassals and can only negotiate within some margins as they "don't have the cards" to be actually independent and sovereign. I do not like to write that but that is "realpolitik".

"Junior partner"... Nice euphemism.

You confirm what I say, you have nothing to do in the initial project of EU. You even don't understand an history you even don't know.
