This is excellent news. Turning its back on China will encourage a Sino-Indian rapprochement. If Pakistan wants to marginalize itself within the BRICS, that's its right, but I don't see what it has to gain from such submission to Uncle Sam. The country's financial situation must be desperately bad, and even the Saudis, after the last Pakistani betrayal (on US orders?) in Yemen, are unlikely to keep funding this bottomless pit, corrupt to the marrow. Pakistan is playing a very dangerous game by thus placing itself at Uncle Sam's spearhead to hinder three powers as major as China, India, and Russia.

It didn't bring luck to Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, or South Vietnam before that.

Pakistani leaders must be rotten to the bone to compromise their country's future like this.

Iran needs to improve its relationship with Afghanistan and avoid over-concentration of its stand-off assets on the east side. China needs to spend a lot of money to buy back Pakistan, and I don't see that kind of money available in China for a decade.
