During the cold war, USA needed to show to the world that capitalism was better than communism to bring happiness, wealth and freedom, so, USA allowed and even helped west Europe to become free, wealthy and happy.

After USSR collapse, USA didn't need anymore this kind of Potemkine village and began to straighten the leash, more and more and more till today with a west Europe on the path of ruin, totalitarianism and even civilisation switch to be reduced to a third world shit hole in less than 3 decades.

West Europe totally submitted as dog and USA facing the growth of Asia and especially China, USA need a new Potemkine village to show how it's good to be on its side: Poland.

The growth of this country is absolutely artificial and just the effect of US will.

Poland is not a future caïd, just a current favourite in the harem.

Thanks for another insightful analysis, however I have to say that I’m somewhat skeptical about your optimistic forecasts for Poland,

because;

Poland’s fertility rate has collapsed and is now the lowest in Europe, aside from Ukraine’s.

Despite high immigration Poland’s population is falling year on year, and there’s every indication that this unfortunate state of affairs will continue.

Poland’s recent economic growth rate is - relatively - impressive but only because within much of Europe growth is virtually nonexistent.

In any event this growth has largely been fuelled by the enormous EU subsidies (exceeding 100 billion Euros) it has received since it joined in 2004, which are unlikely to continue at the same rate.

All this makes it highly unlikely in my opinion that Poland will ever again become a ‘superpower’, although its determination to build up the size of its armed forces, if it can continue to afford to do so, will likely give it some significant regional clout.

Thanks once again for sharing your thoughts and views; the depth and breadth of your knowledge is very impressive.
