The US-facilitated revival of Poland’s long-lost Great Power status via the “Three Seas Initiative” can advance some of the US’ top goals in the continent.
During the cold war, USA needed to show to the world that capitalism was better than communism to bring happiness, wealth and freedom, so, USA allowed and even helped west Europe to become free, wealthy and happy.
After USSR collapse, USA didn't need anymore this kind of Potemkine village and began to straighten the leash, more and more and more till today with a west Europe on the path of ruin, totalitarianism and even civilisation switch to be reduced to a third world shit hole in less than 3 decades.
West Europe totally submitted as dog and USA facing the growth of Asia and especially China, USA need a new Potemkine village to show how it's good to be on its side: Poland.
The growth of this country is absolutely artificial and just the effect of US will.
Poland is not a future caïd, just a current favourite in the harem.
BTW, the "Dulles Brothers" were Rockefeller's cousins, maternal side. Together they ran the largest law firm on Wall Street - "Sullivan & Cromwell".
Sullivan helped broker purchases for many Wall St. firms including Dillon Read and Brown Brothers Harriman that Prescott Bush was a partner at, Including German Nazi assets.
The cold reality is the UK now more resembles a 2nd or 3rd world Arab regime, like Jordan or Egypt. A poor country with little economic prospects, ruled by an unpopular political class with a large security state to quell dissent, caring more about pleasing foreign interests than domestic discontent, with the mores of its leadership increasingly divorced from and hostile to those of its own population. If the UK enters another IMF bailout, then likewise the state will similarly be supported by foreign aid, of course conditional on even more obedience to foreign whims.
«with the mores of its leadership increasingly divorced from and hostile to those of its own population.»
"increasingly"? That is "optimistic": they used to live in castles to protect themselves from their servants and it was illegal for them to marry commoners and for several centuries they did not even speak their language preferring germanic when the servants spoke celtic and french when the servants spoke english or scots, and later maintaining their difference by speaking with a very different accent and vocabulary and learning latin and greek.
In both the USA and the UK the servants classes are regarded as "not our own" by both the upper-class and the middle-class. Much more so than in other countries.
Thanks for another insightful analysis, however I have to say that I’m somewhat skeptical about your optimistic forecasts for Poland,
because;
Poland’s fertility rate has collapsed and is now the lowest in Europe, aside from Ukraine’s.
Despite high immigration Poland’s population is falling year on year, and there’s every indication that this unfortunate state of affairs will continue.
Poland’s recent economic growth rate is - relatively - impressive but only because within much of Europe growth is virtually nonexistent.
In any event this growth has largely been fuelled by the enormous EU subsidies (exceeding 100 billion Euros) it has received since it joined in 2004, which are unlikely to continue at the same rate.
All this makes it highly unlikely in my opinion that Poland will ever again become a ‘superpower’, although its determination to build up the size of its armed forces, if it can continue to afford to do so, will likely give it some significant regional clout.
Thanks once again for sharing your thoughts and views; the depth and breadth of your knowledge is very impressive.
I don't know a Polish family that didn't suffer as a result of the Volhynian Massacres. They know, but they want to be the Americans' Special Little Buddy more than anything.
I keep repeating this like a retarded parrot: Poland by bringing into the equation the US is exposing Europe and Poland as well to an uncertain future. The US is simply not a dependable long-term partner. Come the next US administration the Polish government can easily be exposed to hostilities by Germany and Russia, both. Think of WWII.... the politics and outcomes generated by Poland, at least partially.
Poland's economic rise is dependent on eu structural adjustment monies and its ability to export unemployment. Take those away and watch Poland's economy plummet.
When was the last time Poland was a great power? In front of Vienna more than 3 centuries ago?
When was the last time in the history of world that a country without its own industry and specially its own defense industry? I have no exemple. Thank you for lightning me.
When was the last time a country became a great power by being the tool of an true great power? I have no exemple. Thank you for lightning me.
The last historic exemple I have in mind of a tiny country becoming a big power is before industrial era. It was Prussia. But Prussia became a big power by its own means and its own path, not in being the minion of a great power.
Turkey, with a lot of luck and being very smart and resolute can become again a great power in 2 or 3 decades.
I strongly agree with your conclusion, but not with one of the points: Poland does have a robust defense industry, somewhat sidelined because of its eagerness to make the MIC wealthier by buying American, but still significant. Polish arms like the Krab howitzer and Rosomak BMP, to name just two of many, have performed decently well in Ukraine, better than many Western equivalents. Of course, there are many gaps, especially there is no native military aircraft.
But following US advice is likely to bring utter ruin, not "power" to Poland.
After two world wars that left 70 million dead, including some 30 million Russian (approx. 3 million in WWI) and Soviet citizens dead, the U.S.S.R could absolutely not allow Europe to revert to its pre-World War I and II ways. To do so would have been utter insanity. No country in its position could..
Now, sans the Soviet Union, we see the same European elite lunacy that proceeded both world wars unfold before our very eyes. If the U.S. and its European "partners" are not deterred, we surely know of the unspeakable horrors that will in all likelihood ensue.
Thank you for this deep and necessary analysis, which precisely reveals the logic behind the American NSS and its design for Poland. It's essential for broadening the perspective.
I would, however, like to shed light on an alternative perspective which, in my view, is more advantageous for Poland- though, of course, significantly harder to implement and inherently long-term.
The scenario of "advancement" by becoming Washington's "military arm," while tempting in the short term, permanently casts us in the role of an object and condemns us to perpetual confrontation while simultaneously surrendering de facto sovereignty.
Is subordination the only path? Models like Hungary or Turkey show that a pragmatic, independent game is possible, one that capitalizes on geography. Turkey, as the guardian of the Straits, has mastered this. Poland possesses a different, yet equally strategic, potential: it is a continental land hub - the natural crossroads of routes between Europe and Eurasia.
To capitalize this asset, we would need to make a fundamental paradigm shift: stop being a bulwark and become a bridge. This would require breaking free from historical traumas and initiating a cold, realistic dialogue with the East - not for an alliance, but for diversification and strengthening our bargaining position vis-à-vis all players.
Unfortunately, I must concede that my considerations - while in theory a realistic and feasible scenario - in practice, given Poland's current political elite and deeply ingrained servile mentality toward the West, are at best a visionary dream. It is precisely this chasm between geopolitical potential and political reality that constitutes the greatest tragedy of our current situation.
This reminds me of Kissinger's: "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal." Poland has been ordained to be the next sucker in line, as Ukraine is by now depopulated and utterly ruined. Step up, my friend!
Great Power is a stretch by any means. Poland could aspire to reach the level of South Korea perhaps, but even that is unlikely. Mainstream Polish geopolitical analysts are very skeptical about this, seeing how inept Polish elites have been when it comes to:
1) foreseeing the inevitable American withdrawal from the international order and the end of Pax Americana;
2) cushioning / slowing down the precipitous demographic decline;
3) building a military fit for the drone warfare and until this day spending a ton of money on high tech tanks and jets as if it was 2000, not 2025, with every independent military tech initiative squashed in its infancy by the Polish intelligence agencies and big military industrialist interests.
4) purging their ranks and getting rid of the deeply entrenched German, American and Russian agents of influence
And many more. It's sad to watch, a country with so many brilliant minds, 4 years into the war, where they could have been #1 country for military innovation, learning from Ukrainians, developing its own independent escalation capabilities, now it is almost completely ignored by Americans, Germans, Ukrainians, who realized that they don't need a geopolitically inept junior partner in the room and that adults can negotiate without them.
The 3-seas-initiative is called in old usage "Intermarium" and it means bridging the Adriatic, Baltic, Black seas. At some point before being absorbed by the lithuanian-polish empire the ruthenian empire of Louis/Lev who was also king of Hungary as well as of Ruthenia and ruled a huge empire from the croatian coast of the Adriatic to the Baltic sea to the ruthenian coast of the Black sea. After the absorption of Ruthenia by the lithuanian-polish empire that empire stretched from the lithuanian and polish Baltic to the ruthenian Black sea.
One of the most important details of the history of that region is that it was for many centuries a three-way fight for dominance by the pagan lithuanians, the catholic poles, the orthodox ruthenians and the orthodox muscovites, and it was not always clear that the Duchy of Muscovy would become bigger and more important than the Kingdom of Ruthenia or the Duchy of Lithuanian or the Kingdom of Poland.
The problem with Germany is that too many countries have completely reasonable apprehensions about Germany, considering its past. Hence the US choice of Poland...
No, it's just geography pure and simple. Poland is next in line to be the anti-Russian proxy after the imminent collapse of Ukraine, because it is the next country to the west. Germany will be proxy after Poland is crushed. Straightforward.
Except that Poland may surprise its masters by falling catastrophically, much faster than Ukraine, as it is not at all prepared for a modern war. The Cabal almost certainly does not anticipate that.

Ukraine learned that the hard way..
I dunno, the rulers of Ukraine made out like bandits. Literally.
The "Three Seas Initiative" feels like just another move by NATO to go eastward. If "Borderland" does not work, maybe "Poland" will.

No American has any right to judge any other country as "beyond saving."
