Trump proclaiming after Dmitriev’s talks with top officials that “I think that President Putin is ready to make a deal” - yeah, but NOT on Ukraine...a deal on economic partnerships maybe. Putin's demands are non-negotiable. The "root causes" phrase goes back at least to 1991 and the famous "not one inch eastward." The three SMO goals and territory are also off the table. So, what is there to negotiate?

And then there is Trump continuing to support Ukraine with weapons and intel, and quietly allowing Ukraine to break the "temporary ceasefire" repeatedly while Russia continues to respect it. Trump is way in over his head with the situation in Ukraine, his bombing of Yemen and threats to bomb Iran, while at the same time needing to shift all those resources in his "pivot to China." And then, he's sanctioned and tariffed friend and foe alike, while the US deficit continues it meteoric climb. He's in trouble at home and everywhere else. Maye some more Big Macs, fries, and 16 oz Cokes will help.

The Ukrainian War may well end with the country that sparked it off

-1/snatching away a big chunk of the natural gas market in Europe from the Russians

-2/selling masses of weapons to the European vassals after having compelled them to increase their armament expenditures

-3/laying hands on an enormous part of the Ukrainian GDP

-4/and, as we may gather from this article, taking over the Russian market from European companies that were so foolish to abandon it...

Already in classical antiquity, people complained about the Goddess Justitia having left the earth. Apparently, she has not returned yet.
