The “negative impacts on the agro-industrial complex in Asia, Africa, and Europe” can lead to widespread starvation, while “the shutdown of energy-intensive industries in Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and the European Union” can lead to widespread unemployment, with both sparking unrest.
Oil is replaceable with coal and nuclear energy. One can convert coal and water to oil while producing a lot of CO2. Or one could even do it without the massive CO2 release if one has lots of nuclear energy. The same is true for nitrogen fertilizers.
Natural gas is not only the most important fossil fuel but also the most important commodity. All of the major geopolitical events of the last decade were in part related to natural gas or LNG. So America developed the LNG market by investing capital into Qatar and Australia even before Big Oil fully comprehended fracking in America.
So Putin invaded Ukraine because he saw his geopolitical influence declining as LNG grew in importance and Hamas’ 10/7 was because Saudi Arabia has been preoccupied with figuring out how to stay relevant in a world in which America and Qatar dominate the most important global commodity market. Israel kept pushing the envelope with its military operations because America benefits from short term spikes in oil and LNG prices like in 2022 when inflation spiked but America’s economy remained strong unlike 2008.
I wonder whether Trump had thought about these long-term impacts when he decided to launch his second unprovoked war of aggression against Iran.
Over the past two days, Trump has also threatened NATO with invading Greenland if they do not help him keep the Strait of Hormuz open, and Iran with attacking their power plants if they do not open the Strait in the next 48 hours. I wonder whether he has also thought through the impacts of these threats should he go through with them.
And a serious question to you Andrew. Do you think the world can survive another three years of Trump's presidency?
To your question, I don't believe that there'll be nuclear war between nuclear powers, but I don't rule out the US and/or Israel using nukes in Iran as a so-called "show of strength" even though it might really suggest weakness.
I think that the longer that the conflict goes on for, the worse that it'll be for pretty much everyone in Afro-Eurasia apart from Russia. The knock-on consequences can spark a polycrisis of the sort that India hitherto helped the world avert by buying Russian oil:
And you know what? I can't speak for others countries, but in France, by hate of Arabs and Muslims, 30% of the country will applause such a monstrosity.
That said, I would like to know how could react Pakistan and the whole Umma in such a case.
I suppose that Russia and China would protest firmly, but politely, at UNO...
If there is an economical recession, then depression then collapse, I don't know how USA couldn't feel any effects.
If the world is broken, who will buy US products? If a big crisis sparks an hyperinflation, the dollar will be the first impacted.
It's really worrying to read one of the most important Poutine's adviser with a so false vew of the world interconnection.
Or. Or he doesn't say exactly what he really thinks...
I'd Trump really respect it last ultimatum and destroy Iran powerplants, it will be the end. By retaliation, Iran will destroy all it will be able to destroy in the Gulf .
Armageddon.
It's perhaps what Netanyahou, Donnie's boss, wants.
I respect Russia’s climb out of totalitarianism and its rejuvenation of spiritual tradition; however, realpolitik has coloured my enthusiasm. Iran has been a rougue state since the Radical Islamic takeover in the 70’s, reeking havoc throughout their region and Russia had not stepped up to exercise moderation in their sponsorship of terrorism. Apparently, Russia considered Iran’s aggressive nature a balance against the US and Israel, and this shortsidedness coupled with the unpredictable nature of the current US President, has affected a global crisis. Short-term neutral influence, long-term tragedy.
Yes, I don't know that Russia really wants a nuclear Iran with the current leadership....
Unfortunately, there's too much emotive vomit by some to notice the most obvious. A more reasonable, middle way Iran would be a much better long term partner for Russia.
Isnt this what the US wants though? With shipping costs being prohibitive companies will have to produce things in the US . Shipping costs will also kneecap Chinese exports and put another nail in the EUs coffin.
Why would the “negative impacts on the agro-industrial complex" only affect "Asia, Africa, and Europe” and not also the America's from Mexico all the way to Argentine?
Patrushev: "This contextualizes the National Security Strategy’s focus on restoring the US’ hegemony over the Western Hemisphere as a source of resources and markets for surviving and even thriving in that scenario."
The US empire was failing playing by rules it had been dictating for decades, against a rising China therefor it had to revive the Monroe doctrine. That would have happened regardless of the US Gulf War 3.
"Russia would probably be the only oasis of security" Euhm, where does that come from? As long as the West is at war with Russia, attacks will continue (and probably increase). Shoigu even said that the Urals are increasingly getting within reach by Western drones and missiles *cough* *COUGH* I mean Ukrainian drones and missiles. China will likely be the only oasis of security, or at least as long as the US empire is bogged down on the Iranian front and can't move on to Taiwan.
The USA and the RF are fully self-sufficient even in oil, cereals and other resources and the RF is even bigger than the PRC; the PRC is mostly but not entirely self-sufficient in energy and cereals, and can be self-sufficient but at a very high cost in terms of living standards and this could have big internal political consequences.
A War already gone haywire. Patriot missile battery misfires in Bahrain, injuring many in an explosion that ripped through the Mahsa residential neighbourhood.
In other words the 4 Horseman of the Apocalypse in Chapter 6 of the Revelation of Jesus Christ are now set loose on the Earth.
1. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. (Trump's Lawlessness?)
2. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
3. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
4. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.
And power was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
" my interpretation is based on the literal words in Scripture. "
These literal words ?
. Total Destruction and Slaying (Herem)
These quotes involve commands to eliminate entire populations, including men, women, and children, often with the specific instruction to show no mercy.
Deuteronomy 7:1–2: "When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess... then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy."
Deuteronomy 20:16–17: "However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the Lord your God has commanded you."
1 Samuel 15:3: "Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys."
2. Instructions on Enslavement and Forced Labor
Biblical law distinguished between "distant" cities and the cities within the Promised Land. For distant cities, enslavement was an alternative to total slaughter.
Deuteronomy 20:10–11: "When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you."
Leviticus 25:44–46: "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves... You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life."
3. Plundering and Taking Spoil
In instances where total destruction of property was not commanded, the Israelites were permitted to take livestock, goods, and women as "plunder."
Deuteronomy 20:13–14: "When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves."
Numbers 31:17–18: (Context: The campaign against Midian) "Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."
Numbers 31:31–32: "So Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the Lord commanded Moses. The plunder remaining from the spoils that the soldiers took was 675,000 sheep..."
4. Destruction of Religious Sites
A frequent command was the physical destruction of the existing culture’s religious infrastructure to ensure the exclusivity of Israelite worship.
Exodus 34:13: "Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles."
Deuteronomy 12:2–3: "Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods. Break down their altars, smash their sacred pillars and burn their Asherah poles in the fire."
Good and Evil words and visions are in the Scriptures men see and choose to do. God in the Old Testament creates Good and Evil, males War and Peace.
My Faith is in the God and Father of Christ Jesus in the New Testament in this Common Era of Christ who is all Good, a restorer of Sight, a Healer, a Forgiver of wrong doing for those who sincerely repent, and a Peace Maker, Love incarnate and guide to a better more satisfying Life in this World of Chaos.

And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourns, there shall you give him his inheritance, say the Lord GOD.”
Ezekiel 47: 32-33
Jews did not exist when Abraham received notice of “the Promised Land.” That promise is for this whole Earth, not just that blood soaked small sliver of land people have been indoctrinated to see as the Holy Land.
European markets are expected to stabilise gradually after the Muscat-Dubai-Dhahran-Ailat-Haifa trade corridor and the Ben Guiron canal become operational in a phased manner.
That is not in my knowledge and it is difficult to guess reliably. Essentially this will be a Peninsular Arab project, the roads will avoid the treacherous Rub Al Khali where convoys and metalled roads alike are liable to disappear under shifting sand dunes; and will also avoid the Syrian desert caravan route from Jahra in Kuwait and the Anbar sands of Iraq to Amman because of proximity to Iraq with its political uncertainties.
So you have, Dhahran to Neom/ Ailat; and another route from Hafr Al Batein to Haifa. A new Suez canal cutting through Israel and Gaza from the Straits of Tiran to the Eastern Mediterranean.
Truck drivers will preferentially be recruited from Europe because of their reputation for road sense discipline and more importantly also for mitigating risks of sabotage from anti-Zionist zealots. Solar powered gasoline pumping stations and rest rooms will abound along the route. American, German and Czech firms will be awarded contracts for supply of the air-conditioned trucks and pickups. The main idea is to reduce transportation costs for ships that currently need to circumnavigate the Arabian Peninsula and hazard risks of traversing the choke point of Bab Al Mandeb.
As for the hazard of fire from Iranian positions, the planners who have envisaged this project have provided for offsetting such situations by implementing an occupation of critical regions of Iran that share proximity with this route by Arab armies drawn from the cadre of standing militaries of Gulf Arab countries. Arab countries have already compiled a force nicknamed Jaish ul Muhammadi for this sake. Turkey has been promised annexation of West Azerbaijan and Iranian Kurdistan. The so-called Islamic NATO which is already entertaining enticing dreams of slicing the Iranian melon is in cahoots with Israel in so far as this transport corridor is concerned because of its irresistible commercial appeal. Whether such dreams actually make sense and whether such fantastic ambitions are anywhere close to fulfilment in reality is an entirely different question altogether, but that does not deter its intoxicated votaries for now. The rulers of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are pinning high hopes on this project in their conviction that it is a doable.

Of course. Fischer Tropsch and Bergius processes have been industrially used since around a century ago.

They don't need others to buy US products if they produce the needed things themselves.
There are not able to produce themselves 30% of their manufactured products.
If they don't buy abroad the dollar become useless and is at big risk.
If foreign countries don't buy US products and services, it will come a recession in USA.
The only country in the world able to survive correctly in a big world crisis is Russia.
What does the US actually produce at this point ?
Yawn
I respect Russia’s climb out of totalitarianism and its rejuvenation of spiritual tradition; however, realpolitik has coloured my enthusiasm. You say craps, stupidly, without the beginning of a truth. Iran is not being terrorism.
Gulf states, Saoudis and USA are behind every terrorist gang in middle east. Trump make great friendship with Al Qaeda and installed them in Syria.
It's Irak which attacked Iran in the 80's when Saddam Hussein was the favourite bitch of USA.
It's Shamir and Sharon which promoted the Hamas for bothering laïc Fatah.
It's Gulf states which spread terror in Yemen in slaughtering 300 000 people because they didn't want Huthis.
We are fed up with dumb US idiots like you and their piles of lies and bullshits.
Lies about Irak was not enough for you? 700 000 man, women, children slaughtered by US "heroes" for a lie?
It's not enough?
You want more?
Stupid eh, is there a mirror in the area.
The "globalists" probably want to reduce the world's population anyway.
Also, with AI coming online in the next 20-40 years a lot less people will be needed.
And theres also some stuff about famine, war, disease and cataclysm in a book which seems to be important for some reason.
So, full steam ahead with Operation Hormuz.
Ok, but have they thought they could probably be among those people to reduce?
With current weapons, nobody is really protected. Even in a good shelter. And you need time to rich it.
The upper echelons might feel safe since they know its all theater.

Thank God for Freedom of Thought and Belief!
You pretend to be a believer?
You know this commandment?:
"Don't take the name of the Lord in vain".
Apply it.
The most frequent miracle Jesus performs is restoring sight to the blind!
For your own personal reason you read more in my comment than is there.
When is citing Bible verses taking the name of the Lord in vain?
As for the article in my blog, if you're not afraid to read https://rayjc.com/2025/08/13/us-dollar-image-of-the-beast/, my interpretation is based on the literal words in Scripture.
