COMMUNITY RULES

I tolerate pretty much anything other than ethno-national slurs and personal attacks, whether against others or especially against myself. When it comes to me, this also includes innuendo about my motives. Such comments toxify the conversation and violators risk being blocked.

" “Potemkinism”, or the creation of alternative realities for strategic purposes."

😅

Ie, "how can I get my army to fight a war, so I can negotiate a better trade deal".

Trump & USA are looking at an enemy they can handle. Vietnam was a disaster in which America lost 58,000 men. The attemps to draft more men resulted in riots in the streets. How about IRAN ? Are they a nice target? Aircraft carriers can be sunk. IRAN has the backing of Russia & China. NO this war will be a disastor and every American knows that. So Trump & USA change what you have been doing.. Tjhe world is looking for PEACE. If you want to be powerful, promote PEACE.

This would require, among other things, India to pick a side and Russia and China to act with a resolve that they have not shown at all so far.

In other words, not happening.

‘BRICS isn’t radically de-dollarizing nor turning into a security bloc, and Russia’s latest clarification of the latter reality is likely designed to placate temperamental Trump.’

On the West side of the problem zero discussion about the fact that EU turned into a wild, militaristic gang while BRICS is playing it rather cool. And there is ‘temperamental Trump’ sitting in the middle of the classroom on the floor doing his ’art of the deal’, daily. US/NATO has a desperate need to change this whole equation but this is not a poker game. Bluffing and BS-ing will not cancel out the endless deaths they caused and neither will it turn around their already materializing geopolitical losses. America is going from crossroad to crossroad and at the dead-end they will have to face a China that already outperforms them industrially. The US worked for this hard for many decades and now is time to eat what they cooked for themselves.
