These are Ukraine’s attempted assassination of Putin right before New Year’s, France and the UK’s official plans to deploy troops to Ukraine if a ceasefire is agreed to, and the US’ seizure of a Russian-flagged tanker in the Atlantic.
It's precisely because US planners think that Poutine is "pathologically" against a rise of tensions that they dare all what they dare.
About the seizure of russian tanker, today , russian MoForeign Affairs says clearly that Russia fears that "others" country( it quote UK) follow this example with all the consequences possible.
With lunatic Baltes, with dumb Pôles, with arrogant British, Germans, French and Scandinavians, one can expect at this kind of seizure in Baltic sea, Black Sea, North Atlantic or Mediterranean.
I notice that some french AMC "analysts" I've followed have a blog too on substack or other and they have less than 10 posts after their articles and seemingly not much readers.
However.
However, both have a YouTube channel with more than 30000 subscribers for one and more than 50000 for the second.
I really don't like video for serious stuff. It's lazy, endless, boring and useless compared to a good text well written you can read in less than 10 minutes.
However.
However, lazy people are legions and more and more morons don't read no more. And there's also a lot of busy people who like to listen the video in driving, cleaning or cooking.
Have you already thought to tell your text in a short video and a YouTube (or other) channel?
And if you don't want to appear on the video, you can do like most of news TV and take an atomic Moscow blond to read it in front of the camera ( Joke. I specify because some followers of this blog need spiked helmet to understand humor)
It's a good idea, Darras, but it would take a lot of time and work to do that for every article. As Sanjay noted below, I already share brief video analyses on Facebook and X a few times a week. I'm like you, though, I prefer the written word over the spoken one.
Ho yes, because too often, it's only chatting with numerous and endless pauses, every ten world you have "haaaaaaa", "mmmmm" "I think thaaaaaat mmmmm".
Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe. Russia has a 1200 mile border with Ukraine. Russians & Ukrainains are identical people. What fools thik that Russia will allow it to slip away into NATO, etc.????? Where does all this russophobia come from in the USA??? Not the American population only a cabal of neocons (JEWS) . Time to push them aside or better yet ship them all to Israel.
It's not because there is Kagan or Kristol that they all are. Bolton, Rubio, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Clinton, Bush, Kirkpatrick, Armirage and much others are not jew.
USA always succeeded for now in tearing things, countries, people.
They tore themselves from English empire.
They tore Mexico and all central America from Spanish empire.
They tore Texas and the western third of USA to Mexico.
They tore Cuba and Porto-Rico from Spain.
They tore sud Sudan from Sudan
They tore Kurdistan from Irak.
Colonial empire always do that since the night of times.
It's only that USA are the only true current imperial power.
Those neocon leaders that are Evangelicals don't themselves believe a word of it, otherwise they would not so frantically be laying up for themselves treasures on earth.
For their part, the Israelis *also* see the Evangelical masses as rubes, as sheep to be used and fleeced.
" Consul Agranov, Pastor Huch, and Senator Cruz were all scheduled to speak. When riding in the car on the way to the church, I explained the premillennial dispensationalist theology that underpins much evangelical support for Israel to Consul Agranov. He responded “These people give me the fucking creeps. What happens when they go back to thinking their God doesn’t like us again?” This was about an hour before he would take the stage and say how grateful he was for Christian support while exclaiming “Israel prays for peace,” taken from the remarks I wrote. The last I heard, Daniel Agranov is still an Israeli diplomat."
But when I look at Chabad, how their nose, ears, eyes look, they can't possibly be evangelists. There's no question that evangelists push the button.
But based on their appearance, the ruling power is Jews. There's no doubt about it. Then if it's evangelists and other scum who are their shabbez goij and who advanced in the hierarchy through generations in the same families and carry out these atrocities, I buy.
But it's still those who have slanted eyes, big ears with a large part of the lower ear that is large who sit on the highest table.
Without exaggeration, I can smell a Jew, regardless of whether he is from Japheth (brownish) or Ham (darker mammals) or Shem.
It seems undeniable that Pres Putin and his team have prosecuted this entire operation with considerable skill and obvious success. That many would like to see a bully get his due is entirely understandable, especially when it's so obvious the bully needs an intervention and Russia's deterrence is eroding, but with everyone holding nuclear weapons, I personally appreciate Pres Putin's measured responses to serial provocations.
I think Pres Putin has now taken the measure of Trump and knows well the strengths and weaknesses of all the various parties to this global conflict. When the children in the west playing Risk with all our lives finally make a strategic mistake, which they will because they are children, Mr Putin will exploit it. Have patience and faith this nightmare ends soon.
Beyond the weapon itself, I’m interested in the damage to the gas storage facility. The target may represent over half of Ukrainian storage gas and a good percentage of Europeans stored gas. If so, it would be a strategic victory for Russian efforts.
The moral of the story is: When you walk through a Russian forest and bump into a teddy bear who carries an Oreshnik on his shoulder, don't mess with him, just give him you sandwich and vodka and run for your miserable life.
Once more? When was the last time? And what Europeans precisely? I don't think they ever came to help and fight for Finland, Sweden, Norway, Danemark, Germany, Austria, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Yougoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Italia, Spain, Portugal. If yes, tell me when.
They send a few people and a lot of material at the end of the WW1 to help a tiny little UK, Belgium and France.
And they let us die like shit in 1940.
They didn't came to help us nor liberate us but to destroy their strategic enemy which declared war tu them, and it's what said Ike himself in its claim to soldier at the eve of Overlord.
After that, the losers of war became US's minions and France staid out NATO untill 2008.
Then, please, don't say "the Europeans", better say " the British".
Putin is no angel, but he, with Lavrov, towers above the nitwits running Europe. He watches them come and go and shows restraint, the like of which they are not capable. He has been forced to draw a line under any hope of rapprochement with Europe. Consequently, the stakes are higher than ever and risks of nuclear war higher than at any time in the cold war era. All the product of an ill-conceived post Soviet era expansion plan for NATO.
One of the reasons Putin might be slow walking this war with Ukraine is that he honestly doesn’t want to have to manage all of Ukraine. he could just take the country over and make it part of Russia again. it is possible he’s waiting for Poland, Belarus, Hungary, Moldova, etc. to step in and take their portions of what’s gonna be left of Ukraine. so he doesn’t have to manage what’s left of Ukraine. It would be a huge headache to have to manage all the Ukrainian people that don’t want to be part of Russia.
I think that seizures of ships will continue, opportunistically. So too might disabling ships (via covert programs). India could feel the pinch, if enough ships are affected.
Well argued and well laid out, Andrew. Had the same thoughts, and was thinking that Russia will and will have to react to the three provocations pretty soon. Will be writing something up on this soon as well. They keep pushing Russia - whether it's the European leaders and their impossible demands and positions, and their preference for war in perpetuity over peace on what they pretend is Russia's terms, or Trump and his flipflopping, volatility and the ease with which he can be manipulated - and calling its bluff. The whole war is a massive demonstration that Russia and Putin aren't bluffing. They'll choose pragmatism up to a point, but push them past a certain point and every time they'll do exactly what they say.
As I've argued before, Trump has the nature of the shyster, which brings its own pros and cons; the Democrats and Europe's leaders have the nature of the zealot, which can be useful under certain conditions, but is mostly antagonistic given we live firmly in a multipolar political ecosystem.
'About that, it was assessed that “The CIA Is Manipulating Trump Against Putin” after he flipflopped from believing Putin’s claim that this attack was an assassination attempt to believing the CIA chief’s that it supposedly only targeted a nearby military site, so this can be interpreted as Putin’s retort to Trump.'
He prides himself on bending reality to his will, but he's pretty easy to manipulate equally.
'Putin is almost pathologically averse to escalating in Ukraine due to the risk that it could spiral out of control into World War III so it’s significant that he just authorized the second-ever use of the Oreshniks in spite of that. He didn’t even do this after Ukraine’s “Operation Spiderweb”, which Trump might have known about in advance, targeted Russia’s nuclear triad last summer. This shows how seriously he’s taking Ukraine’s attempted assassination of him and probably the other two provocations too.'
Definitely, Andrew. He is many things, but he is a hothead reactionary or a absolutist ideologue not at all. In fact, and many criticised him for this, he probably should have been stronger with his response to Spiderweb. When we survey the entire span of his career, we see a cautious pragmatist who knows that after a certain point reason and pragmatism are not the tools some will understand.
Concise and cogent breakdown once again. Good stuff, Andrew.

In 62, Kroutchev came brow to brow with Kennedy and Kennedy gave in.
This was a very good article. I think Putin should quit while he's ahead because, at this point, he's just beating up Ukraine because he can't do anything else - he's out of troops and money to effectively respond globally to the US seizing the shadow fleet tankers. Globally protecting the tankers with ships would, effectively, cost more than the oil is worth. Putin has been unwilling to make any sort of a deal when it comes to Ukraine, so I think Trump is going to start seizing more of the shadow fleet tankers and that's not a bad thing if it puts the squeeze on Russia's money supply and forces them to make a deal. That being said, I think Russia would be a good future strategic partner in a wedge against China. China's been double dealing the Russians because while they supply Russia with electronics, they also supply Ukraine electronics and drone parts. In light of my opinion above, I also don't want US troops in Ukraine and I think NATO has become a joke (everybody's in it now, but the US is acutally capable of a proper military response) and I think it's time for NATO to end as well as the UN.
It's precisely because US planners think that Poutine is "pathologically" against a rise of tensions that they dare all what they dare.

Surprising that a strike on a huge gaz reserve don't spark any secondary blast...
Observers said a huge dome glowed for hours.
Ha ok, I didn't know.
Surprising that there is no video of such a thing.
But I think I understand. Gaz only blast at a certain concentration not enough gaz, nothing, to much gaz, nothing.
It's possible that the strike has been made on a to concentrate gaz and or didn't explode immediately.
The moral of the story is: When you walk through a Russian forest and bump into a teddy bear who carries an Oreshnik on his shoulder, don't mess with him, just give him you sandwich and vodka and run for your miserable life.
No, just put a US flag on your jackets and say "I come in peace" and "Europeans are naughty".
This big bear is a little shy and a little slow to wrath.
Just don't enter in its lair.
But you can walk on its blue suede shoes.
Europeans often forget they have no US flag on their jacket. Woe to the howler monkey not quick and cautious enough.
Europeans are confident that the Americans will ride to the rescue again. That was ever always only the real plan.

France is not part of europe? The czechs, danes, greeks, poles, etc. are not?
Perhaps you recall the stated purpose of NATO "To keep the Americans in...."
Anyway, you are trying to distract from the point - the european strategy is to mousetrap Americans to fight Russia for them.
Elementary mathematics .
When you say "Europeans" you speak about each country of Europe, even Russia which I'd European.
You must speak more precisely.
I say "no!" , every European country didn't wait for Americans. Only British.
Please, tomorrow, when you'll say that, say "English always waited for US" and still wait.
For reminds, those last 70 years, France has always been at the head for asking for and indépendant european diplomacy and defense.
UK used all its forces to prevent that. And succeeded.
You may find this instructive:
https://unherd.com/2026/01/will-europe-ever-wake-up/
I dunno, remember Suez? Libya? Those same europeans were screaming that the United States must do something about Yugoslavia.
And yeah, the french also were begging for Americans to rescue them as well.

No dear friend, you're wrong. No need to to protect all the fleet. Just build a "Cuba 62" moment where USA give in in front of russian resolution.
