My dear friend, I think you may be jumping to conclusions a bit.

There is nothing to suggest that, in the event of a third Gulf War, this alliance would include offensive elements.

It is more likely that Pakistan would make its air-defense capabilities available, and aircraft are effective tools against heavy drones and non-ballistic missiles. Moreover, most of the equipment is Chinese—would the Chinese really impose restrictions on how their weapons are used?

This could be a message from Saudi Arabia to the Iranians: that if it came to destroying the Gulf, it would be easier and less risky to strike the Emirates...

This has long been obvious. Pakistan will get dragged into the war.

The US never intended to negotiate but to stall for time and take another shot. This is aided by Chinese and Russian indecision and timidity.
