I thank Russia, then the Soviet Union, for liberating the concentration camps in Poland and Prussia. I especially honor the memory of Alexander Perchevsky, the imprisoned Red Army lieutenant, who led the courageous revolt of the prisoners against the most insidious death camp Sobibor!

What a shocker(not). This is another attempt to rewrite history because it doesn’t fit into the current narrative of western relations. Germany hosting this event is almost an oxymoron. Germany was never supposed to be re-unified but we have let that happen(again). I’m not projecting the same outcomes here but I’ll say what needs to be said. Those who fail to understand history are doomed to repeat it. The world is different now with the rise of China so we can switch them into Japan and see just about the same thing with a billion more people. Keeping Russia out of this ceremony was stupid. They can be civil for a couple days. It’s not like they would be sending a troop of soldiers to it. Jeez
