From Iran’s perspective, they’re all complicit in the US’ massive first strike even if the role that US military infrastructure in their countries allegedly played was only indirect in the sense of providing radar or just logistical support, with this perception and its response thereto being totally predictable.
Understanding Washington's motives becomes clearer by realizing that the United States, far from being anyone's defender, is actually the world's aggressor. And has been, at least since the end of the Second World War.
Nope, we are presenting Iran with a golden opportunity. We did the same thing with Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya and all of those countries squandered their opportunity. Btw, it’s all made possible because we can print gold…we discovered alchemy!! Dollars have value on the global market and we are more than willing to print them to help other countries if they play by our very reasonable rules. Btw, Cuba can also get showered with dollars which is what Rubio wants to do. So Cuba should be renamed “deferred maintenance” and rebuilding it costs more than it’s worth but it’s worth it to Rubio.
So, "we" have presented country after country "with a golden opportunity." Are you insane? What has been the fate of those countries as a result of U.S. hyper-violence, sanctions, and sabotage? How much death, destruction, chaos and suffering has the U.S. brought to the people of these countries? What is wrong with you?
You know nothing about Muslims or anyone else. Those groups are fighting Israeli genocide, which has murdered tens-of-thousands of utterly defenseless Palestinians, including 12,000 Palestinian children. Now, you know what children are, correct? Little kids. And all this is financed mostly by the U.S Congress, Democratic and Republican, and is apparently what you support. Now, in light of all that, what precisely is wrong with you?
The Muslim violence against each other goes back hundreds and hundred of years and has NOTHING to do with current day America and/or Israel. Read your history of Islam before making comments that are not true.
Please, for your own sake, stop. Your ignorance is embarrassing. You know nothing about Muslims or anyone else. The greatest killers and terrorists in the world by far are the U.S. and Israel. This is irrefutable.
IF the Gulf states were not hosting the U.S. they would be subject to intimidation from the Iranian thugs. Therefore, the U.S. DID protect the Gulf states IN THE LONG RUN
What utter nonsense. What is wrong with you? The only genuine threats there have ever been have been the bomb-crazy U.S. and the genocidal Israeli apartheid regime. The U.S. protects no one. It kills, it destroys. and has left country after country in ruins.
Now. here it is: The U.S. and Israel must not be allowed to turn yet another country into a wasteland. They must not prevail. Instead, they must be defeated. The Epstein class and the genocidal apartheid Israeli regime are the gravest threat the planet have faced since Hitler. Iran must stand!
The U.S. and Israel are stopping a crazy Islamic state from nuclear war...and that is where billions will die; and IF you live in any modern state that would probably include your sorry self. You are a war monger.
Your mad ramblings are incomprehensible and signify nothing. The only crazy states are the murderous U.S., which has been funding Israeli genocide for over two years, and the genocidal ethnic-supremacist Israeli apartheid regime. And that is positively irrefutable. That's i-r-r-e-f-u-t-a-b-l-e. It is the U.S. and Israel that must be stopped.
Wrong. The REAL issue is actually sectarian where Iran is Shi'ah and the Gulf states are Sunni. There have been wars between these two sects for hundreds and hundreds of years. It has NOTHING to do with the U.S. Read your history.
Iran attacked Bahrain....A high rise was hit and other CIVILIAN sites. Just goes to show you that the crazy desparation of Iran doesn't care if civilians die or not. Add that to the tens of thousands of IRANIAN demonstrators who were murdered by the regime. YOU are a war monger
I answered you before without accusing you negatively for being unintelligible, stupid, blind or otherwise.
I expect you to think the same.
I have been in two wars, all the complications you get from a war I do not wish on anyone else.
It is not Iran that you should accuse, it is aggressors who take the right to attack which countries they want at will and need of what is in that country.
What did the USA do in Vietnam? I have been to Ho Chi Minh, there is a museum with about 3 million pictures on the walls, mostly innocent people. Was it the Iranians who caused it?
1.2 million died between 1992-2003 in Iraq, 400 thousand of them were children. They died from malnutrition, because the USA had caused sanctions. Was it the Iranians who caused it?
The USA creates small states and stations military there, these small states do not dare to fart without notifying the Americans first. Is it the Iranians' fault?
The US destroyed Latin and South America, was it the Iranians' fault?
I know you're smarter than you look, but accusing me of warmongering shows what a small person with big complex problems you are.
But their actual source of income, the proceeds from the oil and gas sales would be lost forever... which is much more than what they have squirreled off in foreign bank accounts.
Russia was a natural resource-rich country prior to WW1. Nevertheless, very very few Russian refugees after WW1 managed to live off comfortably off their assets. The same happened with Iranian refugees after 1979. So having a country to live off is much better than having to flee.
Qatar prince owns third of France(politicians included), Saoud king owns another third, and others émiratis own the last third.😂
All of them, in 50 years has invested in western economy more than 40 000 billions dollars and the interests of those 40 trillions dollars. That make near 80 trillions dollars. That make a good part of Western patrimony.
Tillerson is an honorary member of the Qatari Royal Family because he took $250 billion of XOM’s windfall profits from gauging Americans during Bush/Cheney and invested the money into Qatar’s LNG export infrastructure. Btw, Gazprom should have been investing in LNG export infrastructure when they were building pipelines. Oops.
There is sufficient evidence American and British military bases hosted by Gulf Arab states on their mainland soil had participated in a co-ordinate fashion on the missile and aircraft blitzkrieg bombing of civilian, military and administrative targets in Iran. After an initial protest, the Gulf Arabic monarchies quietly granted permission to the US for using its bases on their soil as launch pads for aggression against Iran. They had little choice anyways, given that they have been reduced to vassal states. The rumour about the territory of Gulf Arab states not having been used by the forces which attacked Iraq is inaccurate, a cover-up fabricated by Arab Bedouin rulers to avoid complications in public relations within the larger Arab Community and the Ummah . It is equally true, however, that the US had also used its F 22 jets based on carriers parked off the coast of Israel in the multi-pronged first attack on Iran and in subsequent decapitation strikes. Centcom, the regional American command centre which acts as the nerve centre of American military operations in Middle East, Afghanistan and South Asia is based in Qatar. Essentially the barrage of missiles and bombs dropped on Iran was an attack from all sides so to say, for achieving maxalimalist goals in the plan to effect regime change as well as wipe out Iran's scientific and technological prowess upto below a predetermined threshold. The denial by Gulf Arab Sheikhdoms is a white lie like the denials of complicity made by Azerbaijan in previous American attacks on Iran and possibly in the crash of a helicopter which had killed former Iranian President Raisi.
And the main concern from Iran's viewpoint is that Gulf Arab states are in reality both powerless and unwilling to force USA to forego use of bases on their territories for attacks on Iran. Being overly confident of a crushing victory over Iran, during the first few days Saudi and Qatari establishment had been enthusing their Arab soldiers with fantastic assurances of Iran's decimation and total capitulation and had been painting this war as an Arab victory of Muslim Arabs over Aryan infidel Iranians (howsoever counter intuitive it may sound to a person with a brain between two ears). Islam being a religio-political ideology, the puritanical fundamentalist Wahabi regime of Saudi Arabia projects itself as the vice regent of Allah on earth and brooks zero tolerance for alternative undercurrents in Islam which might vie for influence in society and undermine the iron grip of the moral police and the ruling dynasty. Accordingly, the officially espoused narrative in Saudi Arabia has been one of depicting Iran as a civilisational enemy which competes with Arabs for leadership of the Ummah and allegedly has plans for wresting control of the Islamic holy of hollies, Makkah. The turn of events in the ongoing US-Iranian war has only disillusioned the soldiers brainwashed by Saudi authorities with delusions of invincibility and created a scandalous credibility deficit within the armed forces, whose ramifications the rulers are scrambling to mitigate by reaching out to third countries for mediation. Question remains how agreement capable the American side is given its track record to the contrary. And Trump has made clear that any agreement forced on Iran will entirely by at Trump's terms and arbitrary pleasure without any role for a multilateral or UN watchdog or counter-guarantor. Such a deal will practically be meaningless and of no benefit from Iran's viewpoint because it would imply expectations of compliance on Iran's part under pain of all out attack from the US-EU coalition once again without imposing any real obligations upon the US or putting in place reciprocal arrangement for ensuring compliance of its part of the bargain by the latter. Iran suspects that the deal will furnish the Americans with a mechanism for steadily dessicating Iran's technological prowess without having to wage actual war with its entailing phenomenal costs.
Had Iran not retaliated against the military bases in Gulf countries which had been launch pads for American blitz krieg in Iran, it would have been accused of cowardly inaction like Maduro's Venezuela and Assad's Syria. After all, the only practical way to resist an invasion is to fire at the launch pads with missiles; a country does not fight a long range invasion with ineffective bayonets and muskets whose range is limited to arms-length.
CentCom’s main base is in Tampa and I know that because of Petreaus’ season on Real Housewives of Tampa…that’s a joke but he really did get involved in something like a reality show scandal and he’s our most “decorated” general of the extremely asinine GWOT. Can you detect my vitriol??
Saudi Arabia has strong influence in the world and in the U.S. You should respect the Gulf states but it looks like your opinions give very little respect for Islamic gulf states. Get rid of your pride.
The other day Saudis were preaching in Makkah that Iranians are heathens and no Muslim should pray for them.
By 'respect', are you suggesting I should worship the rulers of Saudia and bow before them?
The contraption which Saudis have invented in the name of religion does not fool me. I refuse to subscribe to something which the person with average intelligence will immediately recognise as sheer nonsense. No issue with anyone who voluntarily chooses to.
They are paying for allowing US and Israeli missiles, drones and planes to pass above their territories and shot the Iranian drones and missiles which go striking Israël and US based.
I wouldn't refer to the US as an ally to the Gulf monarchies but as an overlord. It also seems that Putin's phone calls to them are meant to try to calm them down. Of course, not hosting US military bases and having their air space used by their US overlord to conduct hostile and destructive actions on Iran would make them safe and spare them from collateral damage. This lesson won't be learned by the European misleaders. When Russia would reciprocate in a MAD scenario, all European NATO member air fields, potential nuclear silos, military sites, harbors and maybe cities will be targeted with nukes as well.
Arab militaries are a joke. No ground forces, rich kids playing at Top Gun. The only real populous Arab states (Iraq and Syria) are already pancaked. Turkey will let this burn a while and then see if its worth entering with Azerbaijan.
I am sorry you were in a war where you felt it may have been the wrong fight. (Yeah; countries make mistakes the same a men do! There wre NO weapons of mass destruction, but what does that mean in this case? ) Even troops who fought in WW2, WW1, etc. etc. may have felt 'why should I die for this fight? I will no longer have a life, a family, anything but death.... War is bad but it is a fact of life here on the earth. Regarding Iran, Iran is the ONLY country who has a policy and has stated it loud, clear and OFTEN that they want to develop nuclear weapons and will ---I repeat, will, wipe Israel of the face of the earth and also attack the U.S. So; as the leader of a people of 350+ million do you ignore it an hope that won't pursue what they say they are doing? iran has been on this path for years....and ONE thing that makes this different from others (like N Korea, Pakistan, China, Russia, etc.) is that this is based on a religion! A religion. The Shi'a philosphy is that if they have a big war/chaos that the 12th Iman will appear. So; they need to create the war to bring about their savior. Now; that is the issue....and nothing else.
Isn't it true that a small group called Palestinians living in Gaza & WB is one of the root causes for ongoing mess in middle east affecting many millions around the globe ? I find it strange that for SAME group whole Arab world keeps wasting time in decades, money in US$ billions and most importantly precious human lives in thousands. the gulf states exist for usa interests. It is land that is stolen from other countries territory.
So I don't understand anything about your post

Andrew, Sadly most of your readers are uninformed about the internaitonal affairs.
You found it alone or you spend you time in front of Fox News?
Wrong. The REAL issue is actually sectarian where Iran is Shi'ah and the Gulf states are Sunni. There have been wars between these two sects for hundreds and hundreds of years. It has NOTHING to do with the U.S. Read your history.

Why should the Gulfie tyrannies care? Where a man's assets are, there his heart is.
If Qatar or Kuwait were to collapse today, the tyrants would simply bugger off for Switzerland or London.
But their actual source of income, the proceeds from the oil and gas sales would be lost forever... which is much more than what they have squirreled off in foreign bank accounts.
They already have enough investments abroad. There's a reason they do this, rather than plow the dough back into their home countries.

Everyone invests abroad. Even smart Americans invest abroad. You don't have to be a tyrant to do that.
Which is beside the point. White Russians in 1919 typically didn't have a lot of assets stashed away in Panama or Switzerland.
Living as a billionaire in Switzerland doesn't come close to being a ruler of an oil-rich country.
I suspect they'll manage to make do somehow. If they cross the Americans, they won't be either.

While reading your article, I was thinking exactly the same. I live in Belgium, host of NATO headquarters and of US nuclear missiles.
Not sure it's a good idea.

It is interesting that Khomeini and Khamenei lived exactly the same length of time, i.e. 86 years and 8 months.
"Saudi Official Accuses US Of 'Abandoning Allies' By Redirecting Air Defense To Shield Israel"
International Business Times, UK, 02 March 2026
The headline is fake news. Saudi Arabia knows exactly what the U.S. did and they support it.
Iran must stand!
What else would these nGulf states expect since they have sided with the USA & Israel and there is a war going on against Iran??
There is nothing ‘indirect’ about radar assistance. But the real question is will Iran be nuked? And what then?
