We've seen it all. After the Turkish dream of a return to Ottoman greatness, after the Polish dream of a return to the greatness of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, after the German dream of a return to a new Reich's greatness, we even get the Swedish dream of a return to greatness after three centuries of insignificance. This is the most glaring symptom of Russia's terrible weakness. Is Putin responsible for this situation, or is he merely the heir who has exhausted all his strength to prevent it? .

The current Sweden is weaker than the Swedish Kingdom defeated by Russia at Poltava in 1709, in terms of relative national strength ratio between the two sides. Say, Sweden needs to show at least a few medium-range BM to be a serious player. A few thousand Swedish light infantry under Finnish command is much less of a threat to the Russian army than in 1939.
