Hi Andrew, Thanks for all your reporting and analysis.

I have no expertise in foreign relations or any such field, but I have a strong impression that your many articles here are soundly based and contain valuable insights. I hope your work finds a very wide audience.

Azerbaijan should take care. Here is a frog which could explode in playing to much the cow.

Azerbaijan is not Ukraine, tiny country with tiny population( less than ten millions). An agression against Iran could launch a russian blitz. Never the turkish snake would dare directly confront Russia.

In invading and controlling Azerbaijan, Russia could, in one shot, destroy this bad influence, take back control of Caucasus, insure south bound, stop Turkish and western influence toward central Asia.

Attacking Azerbaijan now would be disastrous. But attacking Azerbaijan once its army is busy in Iran and to "help the strategic friend" would be a complete disaster for US shenanigans and agenda in the region.

I can't see a "better" way for Russia to turn the table decisively.
