Btw, the Americans that volunteered to fight in Afghanistan ended up returning to a country with all of the good union jobs shipped to China!! Well I came by the link from another substack. And yes, there's a lot of BS out there but also at times thing worth reading although I have to admit I haven't read it in months (Crooke). Escobar I haven't read in decades and Mc Gregor and Ritter I never read. Predicting the future is near impossible. The thing here is that Andrew peddled Iran handing over its nuclear material as a solution. Yet when we look at Khadaffi and North Korea we see the exact opposite is a requirement, namely holding on to your weapons is existential. If Iran indeed would perform a nuclear test, it would be its saving. Iran has shown to be willing to reciprocate to the maximum.
