Yemen's East has been a chaotic for quite some time with regular low profile and unexplained US and UK raids into these barren wastelands.

Most of the existing Yemeni pipeline infrastructure leads straight into Houthi and STC held territories. And I doubt that the Saudis could protect any newly built pipeline infrastructure from sabotage.

Which leaves the possibility of a deal between all the parties involved.

This is unlikely though. Saudi policy towards Yemen have been straight down racist for generations and crown prince MBS is not exactly know for his pliable personality,

Great update: seems to be no end to how tribal and factional political scheming can get in that region. Western intervention clearly exacerbates, but even if you take it away -its unlikely peace and stability would break out. No-one kills and debases Muslims like other Muslims, but where are the (virtue signalling) global protests for the Yemenis? More have died than Palestinians (to be clear, that is a war crime and Israel seems to be succumbing to self destructive psychilopathy). The stench of hypocrisy is crippling. A plague on all their houses.
