Just ten years ago, no country in the world would have dared to intercept a Russian ship, even a civilian one. No country would have dared to threaten Russia with blocking its maritime access. No country in the world would have dared to participate in a military attack on Russian soil. No country would have dared to allow its territory or airspace to be used for an attack against Russia. Launching the war in Ukraine while displaying pathetic cowardice is destroying Russian credibility and the respect that Russia commands. This contemptible lack of determination projects the image of an inconsistent government mired in its own contradictions.

In its contemporary incarnation, the once redoubtable Royal Navy is a study in inadequate investment born incapacitation.

A more than lamentable reality that has been fully acknowledged by the few who are sober minded among the constituents of the UK's governing class.
