The US’ Holocaust Games: Condemn Lavrov’s Comparison But Remain Silent After Zelensky’s
The contrast between American officials’ reactions to Lavrov’s and Zelensky’s respective Holocaust comparisons exposes the ways in which the US weaponizes that historical crime. American puppets are allowed to reference it to fearmonger about those leaders and their countries that defy the declining unipolar hegemon’s agenda so as to generate public support for preplanned containment efforts, while those targeted leaders and their countries are forbidden to say the same about American puppets.
US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby feigned outrage after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused his country of “using Ukraine to wage a proxy war against Russia with the old aim of finally solving the ‘Russian question,’ like Hitler, who sought a final solution to the ‘Jewish question.’” That comparison prompted Kirby to angrily condemn Russia’s top diplomat, but his words ultimately rang hollow when considering his completely opposite reaction to Zelensky’s comparison last year.
Here's what that American official said on Thursday in response to a question about Lavrov’s quip: “Our first reaction is how dare he compare anything to the Holocaust, anything. Let alone a war that they started. It’s almost so absurd that it’s not worth responding to, other than the truly offensive manner in which he tried to cast us in terms of Hitler and the Holocaust.” By contrast, Kirby was totally silent when Zelensky evoked the Holocaust while addressing Israelis by video 10 months ago.
At that time, the Ukrainian leader told them to “Listen to the words of the Kremlin. They are using the terminology of the Nazis. The final solution to the Jewish question you well remember. Listen to what they are now saying in Moscow. Now these words are being used again, the Final Solution, but now it is directed at us, on the issue of Ukraine. They are speaking about this openly on official sites and in the media.”
That in turn prompted former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to publicly scold Zelensky by telling him that “it is forbidden to compare anything to the Holocaust”, which was also the essence of the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s response to Lavrov’s latest comparison to that fascist genocide. The entire Biden Administration was silent, however, Kirby included. Not a single one of them dared to follow the then-Israeli premier’s lead by condemning Zelensky, who’s deified by them as a “secular god” nowadays.
This contrast between American officials’ reactions to Lavrov’s and Zelensky’s respective Holocaust comparisons exposes the ways in which the US weaponizes that historical crime. American puppets are allowed to reference it to fearmonger about those leaders and their countries that defy the declining unipolar hegemon’s agenda so as to generate public support for preplanned containment efforts, while those targeted leaders and their countries are forbidden to say the same about American puppets.
The moment that they do, the US feigns outrage like Kirby did in pretending that it always condemns anyone who ever compares anything to the Holocaust, which is meant to manipulate the perceptions of average Westerners by implying that whoever referenced that is supposedly anti-Semitic. Regardless of whatever one thinks about Israel’s reaction to those who do this, at least it’s consistent in condemning both Zelensky and Lavrov, unlike the US which weaponizes double standards for infowar purposes.
Everyone should read Norman Finklesteins holocaust book.
The holocaust is the state religion of America. It's a holy, sacred, unique event that cannot be criticized or questioned. It's all for the purpose of defending Zionism. Even Jews did not care that much about the holocaust until it became the US's religion after the 1967 War.
