Well, my take is quite a bit different! "Si vis bellum, para bellum." If you want war, prepare for war.

We've got the USA/NATO preparing for a first strike attack on Russia with annual, ever larger, war games all along Russia's borders. We've got the Baltics preparing for war. We've got NATO and the EU openly preparing for war. We've a general saying NATO should take Kaliningrad. We've got 3000 sanctions and the weaponization of the dollar which is a declaration of war. We've got the USA unilaterally pulling out of all but one nuclear treaty (New Start soon to expire). We've got Trump wanting to expand and upgrade the US nuclear arsenal and create his "golden dome." We've got the USA bombing Yemen AND Iran. We've got US nukes in Poland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands, and Turkey, and now in the UK of late.

With all this talk of war, threats of war, reckless rhetoric fearmongering about WWIII and nuclear war, the perfect storm is brewing. If you want war, prepare for war.

As for sending two submarines to Russia, that's a crock! The USA has had nuclear subs in all of the planet's oceans and some seas...It is well known that Russia has more advanced nuclear subs stationed in all the world's oceans, including of both US coasts! And, reportedly, they are very hard to detect.

I said it again, Si vis bellum, para bellum. It's coming.

Trump just entered into my home territory. An analytical, step by step examination of his acts show him to be a twelve to a dozen political creature who should be analyzed exclusively based on his actual acts as his words are meaningless. First he tried to soften up China. There he was told in so many words to buzz off. Then he played the same game with India. Same result. After a fairly factual statement about US escalations from Medvedev he carried it to a next level - nuclear subs moving. In the world of professional diplomats and political scientists he looks like a headless chicken running around, trying to rearrange geopolitical realities between two Big Macs using social media accounts. For most American he comes across as the fearless leader, ready to straighten out pesky little Russia with a few hundred nuclear missiles. In reality, he is just an average American president waving nukes over the heads of the planet’s population, including his own country.
