Trump is either being maliciously misinformed about the conflict by his trusted advisors (not counting Witkoff of course) or he’s manipulatively creating the pretext for US escalation.
I read you analyses regularly. I like them, they aim to provide perspective from many different perspectives and avoid emotional tone. However when analyzing Trump I miss the perspective that Trump is grandiose narcissist and you cannot rationalize irrational. If there is anything you can count on with narcissist is them being unstable and contradictory. And most of all, never to be trusted. They go from one moment to another and incredible how they explain and reason themselves with changing their positions from moment to another. So better to be more vigilant about actors that surround him that are more consistent in their manner to perhaps get a sense of a direction the conflict is going for. But even that can backfire since Trump can again change his mind on a whim and has ability to do so.
Here is a different analysis from an account on X @holonabove:
BQQM: The 5GW Hammer is Falling...
Putin just said the quiet part out loud...
“They staged a coup... they forced us to do what we're now doing.”
He’s not talking to Russia, he’s talking to us, and Trump needed him to say it first...
Because if Trump had been the one to drop it, it would’ve been spun into “Putin puppet,” “pro-Russia,” “traitor,” and whatever other programmed media taglines the Swamp rolls out on cue...
But now the door is open... now Trump can walk through it, with evidence, and burn the whole thing down...
Here’s the truth...
Ukraine didn’t have a revolution in 2014... it had a foreign backed, CIA-run, color revolution coup, funded and orchestrated by the same corrupt Western elite that’s been running regime change ops around the globe for decades... and Mr. NoName - John McCain was their frontman...
Yes, the “war hero” stood on stage in Kyiv with literal Nazi factions from Svoboda and Right Sector, cheering them on as they destabilized a sitting, democratically elected president... he wasn’t there by accident... he was there to give it cover... to give it "legitimacy"...
Behind the curtain? Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State under Obama... she was caught red handed in a leaked call saying “Yats is the guy," talking about Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who magically became Prime Minister after the coup...
That phone call was dated before Yanukovych was removed... translation? The new regime was pre-selected by Washington...
And she wasn’t shy about it either... Nuland later bragged that the U.S. had spent $5 billion funding Ukrainian "civil society," another way of saying, paying for protests, media, bribes, and infiltration... it was a full spectrum subversion op - a Color Revolution...
Meanwhile, groups like the Azov Battalion were given arms, training, and political legitimacy... even though their symbols trace straight back to the Third Reich...
This wasn’t hidden, it was public, but the media didn’t care... Why? Because they were useful, they were the muscle for the coup...
Then came Biden, then came Burisma, then came Hunter... the regime was installed, and the looting began...
So now fast forward...
Trump comes into office and starts poking around... he calls Zelensky (the "perfect phone call"), asks questions, and boom... they impeach him... Why? Because he got too close to the crime scene, because everything ties back to that 2014 coup, and the people behind it are the same ones pulling the strings across every institution today...
And here’s where 5GW enters...
Trump can’t be the first one to say it, he needs someone else to say it so he can confirm it, not introduce it... and who better than Putin?
They run kayfabe.... public tension... media headlines spin the fake beef... “Trump condemns Putin.” “Trump criticizes Russia"... the Swamp cheers...
But under the noise, the real move lands... Putin drops the truth... Ukraine was a coup, the West did it...
Trump now has the green light to say what he’s known all along, but now it’s not “Trump’s theory"...it’s a global revelation... and once it lands, Trump will back it up with receipts... leaked memos, Nuland’s audio, McCain’s photo ops, Burisma’s dirty deals, and Hunter’s laptop trail that leads right back to the 2014 install job...
This is narrative warfare at the highest level...
Putin drops the payload...
Trump walks the American people through it...
Then he asks the question, if they lied about Ukraine, what else did they lie about?
From there it spreads like wildfire... the media is cornered... the intelligence agencies are exposed... the military industrial complex gets dragged into the light... and every last Neocon and CIA asset who helped stage that coup gets their name stamped in history as the traitors they are...
This is how you bring down a regime from within, not with bombs, but with truth...
Let the “enemy” say it first...
Then deliver the evidence...
Then show the people what the Swamp has done...
All of it, orchestrated...
All of it, timed...
All of it, part of The Plan...
Trump doesn’t need to win the narrative, he needs to let the enemy hand it to him...
DJT is not in charge. The war against Russia continues. Different headline-catching theatrics are designed to have us believe that this is not the same policy driven with a different hood ornament.
If you look back at Trump's first term, you will see very similar behavior on his part. He has a tendency to agree with the last person who talked to him, so whenever his advisors are split, you see this irrational back-and-forth in Trump's utterances.
Therefore no single one of them should be seriously considered to be an indication of what Trump is actually going to DO next.
The hard, plain truth is that Donald Trump is not the brightest bulb in the American ceiling; he's clever, but just not that smart. Putin's met the bastard. He knows. He's just too diplomatic to say so.
Andrew, what are the chances that the Germans are going to deliver Taurus? It doesn't look like it will change very much since Ukraine doesn't have any planes to shoot them off but from your point of view, how will Russia react?
So far Western Media has portrayed Russia as weak, since it never reacted when someone crossed their red lines, but then Russia had only two red lines, no deep strikes into Russia and no NATO boots on the ground. Do you see Russia shooting back at Germany if a Taurus hits deep inside Russia?
Such immature, unstable person can not understand what he is doing. His hyper-egoic persuits are dangerous not only for american people, but for the whole world. Putin is quite aware of Trump's psychological profile and tries to maneuver around the situation, but with pour outcome. Trump's main problem is not the education, but his character and lack of basic discernment. There is not help. This is my humble opinion.
Trump is faced with a congress with the votes to pass Ukraine sanctions over his veto, so perhaps a little rhetoric will help his negotiating with congress. Plus his big beautiful bill is being negotiated.
Trump is throwing a fit like a spoiled 8-year old, which intellectually is what he is. We tend to assign method to his irrational behavior because we can't believe that the American people would elect a stunted narcissist not once, but twice. Well, believe it. They did.
What ya talkin about Saint J? You cant says the man has no morals! If Hillary was engaged by a porno star like Trump the woman would have been fish food fast. On the other hand Trump tried to pay her off. That’s clearly a moral act.

Our current problems can only be solved by a third world war!!!

That is as close as you can get in a short version.
Not likely.
Ukraine is running out of Biden's weapons. Trump needs a reason to keep Ukraine afloat.
I don't know why Trump is so close to Lindsey Graham given the MAGA base despise him.
DJT is not in charge. The war against Russia continues. Different headline-catching theatrics are designed to have us believe that this is not the same policy driven with a different hood ornament.
Trump theatre is amazingly effective in hijacking the issue at hand.

Trump changes his positions every other day. He has no strategy other than bullying. He's emotionally unstable. He makes everything personal.
Trump is faced with a congress with the votes to pass Ukraine sanctions over his veto, so perhaps a little rhetoric will help his negotiating with congress. Plus his big beautiful bill is being negotiated.
No chance of having 2/3 majorities in the House and Senate both to circumvent presidential veto.
I’ll disagree on Russian Sanctions. I’ll agree on all other issues.
Trump is throwing a fit like a spoiled 8-year old, which intellectually is what he is. We tend to assign method to his irrational behavior because we can't believe that the American people would elect a stunted narcissist not once, but twice. Well, believe it. They did.
Trump is weak, stupid and easily manipulated. Nothing more to it.
