Streisand effect.

It's because Ukrainians are used to the european madness. Such a happening in a building of any Parliament of any country of UE( forget Poland or Baltes) is simply impossible. The politician who would like to organize that would be immediately crucified. So, for Ukrainians, it's the standard of behaviour they wait for allies.

Darras's avatar

Andrew.

Excuse me, out of topic but urgent.

Tomorrow, Security Council of UN must vote for a Bahraini resolution asking for a military action for opening and securing the Ormuz straight.

What do you think Russia and China will do?

For?

Abstention?

Against?

Veto?

Andrew Korybko's avatar

I expect them to veto or abstain, definitely not vote for it. They might veto it since letting it pass could be spun as legitimizing US and Israeli attacks on Iran, but abstaining wouldn't anger the Arabs are more than they already are.

Oxygene84's avatar

Good question. What do you think? I think veto Russia, absention China.

Darras's avatar

I don't know, but surely, this resolution will have majority.

If it's the case, the one of China and Russia who will not veto will be considered as yellow liver by entire great south for decades.

Absolutely nobody would trust them again to resist against the empire.

Worse: if they vote for abstention il would be a coward and abject infamy.

What would worth their "friendship"?

Darras's avatar

Hohooo, interesting. I learn, by Chinese media😂, that president of my country, Macron, is opposed to the resolution. Pop corn.

Ukraine whines because it needs constant attention. There is always the danger that the world will figure out that the only thing Ukraine has to offer the world is prostitutes and it's not worth arguing with a Russia over Donbass.

More energy cooperation between Japan and Russia will happen regardless of some US "resource-centric strategic partnership". The USIS vs Iran war will drag on for months or probably years and Japan simply can't afford to say no to Russian hydrocarbons. I also think Russia will divert more of its energy infrastructure to the east, to the grateful customers, further away from the front lines where it would be more difficult to have them destroyed by Western bombings... euh I mean Ukrainian bombings.

Darras's avatar

Germany neither was not able to do without cheap russian oil and gaz. All its economical model was base on that.

But the US godfather required the suicide. And got it.

And all UE is collapsing because of this sacrifice.

Why do you want it could be different for Japan?

Oxygene84's avatar

The word "wanting" is a bit rich lol. My response wasn't dictated by desire but logic. You might respond that Germany's choices aren't logic either and that's true. Germany with Annalena 360° Baerbock etc. on got captivated by their inane ideology and threw any logical thinking overboard and committed economic sepuko on EU level. There is no sign yet that the current political EU crop, under "conservative" Merz/Ursula/... and "liberal" Micron/..., confronted with the abysmal EU prospects will reverse course.

The difference I think with Japan is that Japan isn't embroiled in a conflict, at the behest of its US overlord, as of yet where it's shackled to its own contradictions completely of its own making.

So in the economic sphere, Takaeshi or whomever will come and go and for as long as the USIS vs Iran war is raging will still opt for Russian hydrocarbons, no matter what.

Darras's avatar

Apology, I just literally translated a french expression " why do you want that ect....".

That don't mean at all that you really want it, that could be translate be " how can you imagine that".

Haaaa translation problems....

It's hard to try to write in another language. Especially if what I write in English is translate badly in another language, because I never spoke "desire".

Don't the Ukrainians have anything better to do? You know, like losing a war.

"Ukrainian diplomats have read the writing on the wall regarding the international community’s informal acceptance of Donetsk and Lugansk as Russian."

I'll be looking for you to express a similar position when Israel, Pakistan or maybe Saudi Arabia grabs a couple of Iranian providence's!

Finders keepers and all that...

Jim, we've sparred on X (well, it was me mocking you for trolling me, but anyhow), but I don't tolerate personal attacks here on my Substack. You're welcome to continue reading and can be as critical as you want, but describing yourself as "almost my only reader" is ad hominem.

I'm pretty sure that you'll teach me the lesson that almost every other troll that's come here has taught me, namely that I should immediately block them, but I'm going out of my way to show that I don't mind criticism, I just request that it remains respectful of me.

Andrew Korybko's avatar

Having addressed your unacceptable disrespect, I'll now address the substance of what you wrote. Here are huge pro-Ukrainian social media accounts on FB and X talking about precisely this faux scandal:

https://www.facebook.com/ukrnewsfeed/posts/pfbid02xNQpZ3euHjPfFbCGtTUGe1oVe1TfVpoYVqLXkXAATQcmPhYwzaY8tU2tm3eamn3ul

https://x.com/front_ukrainian/status/2038528565025673443

https://x.com/NOELreports/status/2038517522652115386

And here's Ukrainian media doing the same:

https://newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/ukraine-demands-response-after-pro-russian-1774885382.html

You can now condemn those three social media accounts in their comments section as "desperate", "insecure", and reminding you of "crudely transparently propagandistic" Soviet propaganda. I know you won't, though, but it'd be funny lol

For good measure, let me add that a serious Western expert on Japan who I follow also posted about it:

https://x.com/JamesDJBrown/status/2038396359397855478

So yes, a lot of people, including serious experts, are indeed talking about it after Ukrainian complained. Again, please keep your trolling on X, it's not welcome here.

Darras's avatar

Andrew, why do you worrying for this kind of piece of shit?

Andrew Korybko's avatar

I honestly don't know, sometimes I feel charitable, but I'm certain that he'll spit in my face regardless.

This guy has been trolling me for a few weeks after I trolled him back (I never initiate trolling but will defend against bullies whenever I have the time and interest to amuse myself in order to show others that it's possible to give them their comeuppance) for mistakenly assuming that I'm Russian.

He then described the part of western Poland in which he lives as "Germany" and appointed himself the arbiter of Polishness by denying that I'm Polish despite me sharing a redacted pic of my passport (I shared it last year after a Polish troll account denied my Polishness as well).

I've kept him around on X since I genuinely amuse myself by trolling my trolls back and I really do get such an ego trip out of knowing that random people are obsessed with me and truly think that they're "saving the world" or whatever by trolling me (so many "NAFO" trolls said that before lol).

Andrew Korybko's avatar

About "NAFO', here's a funny anecdote that I always get a chuckle out of every time I think about it lol

So I actively trolled them back for months from summer 2022 till January 2023 and thousands of them would always say something like "we win if you block us!", "only cowards block people!', etc.

The whole time, what they didn't realize, is that I was getting blocked by top "NAFO" trolls and Ukrainian officials, then I baited them all into repeating what they said about people who block others.

Then I shared all the screenshots of all their "elite" who blocked me and then mass blocked something like 70k "NAFO' accounts using a now-defunct tool lol They're still seething about that to this day lol

Thousands of them still have memes of me on their devices (and yes, that also gives me such an ego trip) and will bring up how I "cowardly" (LOL!) blocked them if someone reminds them of me lol

Darras's avatar

Sorry Andrew, but when I see a cockroach in my home, I don't consider it, I crush it and throw it outside.

Andrew Korybko's avatar

Despite Jim being so wealthy as to literally own a castle in Poland, he refused to donate £100 to a Polish children’s charity of his choice as the condition to continue trolling me. I recently thought of demanding that from my trolls after they troll me for a few weeks or a month since they’re clearly obsessed with me and might therefore do some good in the real world but the two that I’ve challenged (him and some freak back in the US) both declined. He also flat-out refused my 24-hour timeline for responding to my response, which is extremely disrespectful, so he’s been blocked: https://x.com/AKorybko/status/2040517927758073939

Andrew Korybko's avatar

I genuinely enjoy trolling back my trolls for amusement and it's an ego trip to know that someone is so obsessed with me as to go out of their way in a doomed-to-fail attempt to bully me into self-censoring or changing my views, plus I believe in making an example by bullying back bullies in order to inspire those with less self-esteem than me to stick up for themselves online.

That said, I have unlimited trolls and don't mind blocking those who refuse my new children's charity challenge. I strongly believe in trying to turn evil into good, in this case by manipulating my obsessive trolls into donating to charity and sharing the receipt (redacting personal info if they're uncomfortable sharing their real identity), but those who refuse are now getting blocked.

I used to pose similar children's charity challenges on X to those who claimed that I'm lying about my PhD and/or Polish citizenship, I literally challenged dozens of trolls, honestly maybe close to 100 by this point, and not a single one accepted my terms of having to share a redacted receipt after I share proof of either (or both depending on context).

Even though this amounted to nothing at the end of the day, it still showed how vile my trolls are, including Non-Russian Pro-Russians (they're unfortunately the bulk of my trolls nowadays and have been for a few years already), that they'd flat-out lie about someone, get challenged to a $100 children's charity bet over the shit they talked (I sometimes even lowered it to $10!), and still chicken out.
