Poland profiting from Ukraine? I have to see it to believe. It will most likely result in (hidden) costs and mirage of profits, which will never materialize and certainly will not offset the costs of Poland's various forms of support of Ukraine. Tusk knows it very well, but as a spineless politician, he just follows European People's Party line.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Trump quietly backed Poland’s deeper role in Ukraine. Washington knows loyalty must be rewarded, and Warsaw has paid its dues in defense spending and Atlanticist alignment.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's unexpected overture to Poland in maritime development, despite Warsaw's relative inexperience, isn’t just about economics; it’s a calculated hedge. Kyiv sees the writing on the wall: the blank-check era is ending, and those footing the bill will start demanding leverage.

Poland, investing hard cash and offering long-term loans, isn’t playing charity anymore. It’s positioning itself as a gatekeeper to Ukraine’s postwar future. This shift marks a quiet return of historical influence, cloaked in business deals but loaded with strategic intent.
