At the present moment of peril we take it that this is a matter of conjecture,not iron clad policy?

Incidentally Britain's place in the new order didn't get a mention.

Somewhat ominous.

The flip side of the E6 is that it may be a step in the direction of splitting up too. It would be hard to put things back together the way they were before....if and when strain and friction from an unequal union becomes apparent. I tend to think E6 proposal is a sign of desperation more than strategy. Could be wrong though.
