When Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expelled me from Moscow in September 2010 and recently extended the ban without end, he convicted me of what one of his officials said was 'writing bad things about our country'."
He therefore hasn't been in Russia for over a decade and a half!
It's therefore very unlikely that he kept whatever supposed "sources" he claims to have had before the time he was literally expelled from Russia so be very wary of what he says.
The USA has not won a war in the past75 years nor will they win the war in Ukraine, Russia will Never allow that to happen. So the USA will be happy to get out of Ukraine. & put Germany in its place. Happened extensively during Merkel and Scholz years - they didn't devise a German policy out of whole new cloth, independent of the US Democrat party. Never. US Democrats want Russia dismembered or worse, while the NatCons have more important things to do - like competing with the Chinese. The Brandmauer Germany follows US Democrats.
So even if Russia cuts a deal with the current administration, what happens when it is replaced by a Democrat one? The US will be again leading from behind.
