Russia needs to foment a color revolution in the West, Texas would be a good place to start

Russia has no soft power and lacks the initiative and audacity to do any such thing.

Not to mention, the American security services are not dithering and shot through with Russian agents.

«Russia needs to foment a color revolution in the West»

They cannot do that. Consider the USA and USSR case:

* The USA offered and offers a very good deal called "anti-communism" in the past and "neoliberalism" more recently to vassal states: if the local upper-class and middle-class become USA vassals the USA the USA government will help them extract profits and rents from their local working-class and protect them from a pushback from the working-class, plus limited access to the USA markets and those controlled by the USA. A "color revolution" like is one that puts in power the middle-class and the upper-class.

* The USSR offered a good deal called "socialism" to vassal states: if the local working-class became "fraternal friends" of the USSR working-class the USSR would help them avoid being exploited by their local middle-class and upper-class and the USSR would protect them from a pushback from the middle-class and upper-class, plus cheap oil and other "fraternal assistance". A "socialist" revolution is one that puts in power the "workin-class" (or at least their "vanguards").

Putin said during the Carlson interview “We told the West: we are just as bourgeois as you are” so they cannot offer anything to the working-class of other countries quite unlike the USSR.

Can then the RF offer *more* than the USA can offer to the middle-class and upper-class of other countries? That is pretty hard.

The PRC is trying to offer more than the USA via massive loans above-board and massive bribes below-board and is having some success at least with raw-material exporting countries as their upper-classes make a lot of money with sales of raw-materials to the PRC.

Russia would better begin by building a reputation of protecting its friends and smiting the traitors and deterring its ennemies.

And Russia must build a reputation of unwavering loyalty toward friendly factions in other countries.

Russia does absolutely nothing for friendly factions abroad, for friendly analysts and medias abroad and even drop them cowardly as soon as they are targeted by their governments. That doesn't let you want risking your carrier, your freedom, your wealth and even your live for such ungrateful hypocrites.

USA provide money, logistics and even military help, media, diplomatic assistance.

Nobody will trust Russia for a coloured revolution.

The color revolution in Ukraine never should have happened. Why dont the Russians realize that there are some people who hate everything about them. The try to cover their identy by caling themselves neo cons. A nickname for JEW.

I don't believe even one second in the "naivete" of a cunning eel like Loukachenko.

And he is seemingly not alone.

I think that "naivete" means huge piles of dollars off-shore for few leaders of the country and garanties of immunity for them and their children.

The Belarusian leadership and siloviki would be wise to consider what happened in Ukraine with people who were seen as excessively pro Russian. Namely death and exile.

Russia needs to let them know that absolutely none of them will be allowed asylum when the “Western partners” turn on them.

Moving in troops before the election to restore order if necessary, may also be a good idea.

It is entirely obvious that the west is not done with Byelorus.
