Zelensky’s Senior Advisor Admitted That Kiev Once Again Accidentally Killed Its Own People

What Ukraine should have done was simply let this missile and others like it reach their military-related destinations that were targeted in accordance with international law regulating armed conflicts after failing to safely intercept them far away from urban areas. Instead, whoever was manning its air defenses over Dniepropetrovsk/Dnipro that day made that fateful decision to recklessly attempt to shoot down that Russian missile despite the extremely high chance that some of their fellow compatriots could be harmed by the falling debris like what ultimately happened.

The whole world is talking about Saturday’s tragedy when a missile dropped on an apartment building in Dniepropetrovsk/Dnipro, with the US-led West’s Mainstream Media (MSM) artificially manufacturing the false narrative that Russia intentionally struck that civilian site as its latest so-called “war crime”. Zelensky’s senior advisor Alexey Arestovich just tacitly admitted in a YouTube interview later that same day, however, that what really happened was that Kiev once again accidentally killed its own people.

According to this prominent official, “[The Russian missile] was shot down (by Ukrainian air defenses). It apparently fell on the [apartment] block. But it exploded when falling.” Though he later took to Facebook in a desperate attempt to “save face” after his faux pas of inadvertently admitting to his side’s culpability in order to reaffirm his belief that Russia is supposedly the only one at fault for this, his subsequent words rang hollow since he already let the cat out of the bag.

The objectively existing and easily verifiable fact of the matter is that this tragedy wouldn’t have transpired had Kiev not recklessly shot down the incoming Russian missile over Dniepropetrovsk/Dnipro that was targeting military-related critical infrastructure. Moscow fully followed international law regulating armed conflicts with respect to which of its opponents’ sites are allowed to be struck during hostilities. Similarly, Kiev also flexed its international legal right to attempt to intercept such attacks.

The problem, however, is that it was criminally reckless for Kiev to try do this over an urban area due to the extremely high chance that the intercepted missile could accidentally harm civilians when it crashed like what ultimately happened. Instead, whoever was manning its air defenses over Dniepropetrovsk/Dnipro that day made that fateful decision to recklessly attempt to shoot down that Russian missile despite the extremely high chance that some of their fellow compatriots could be harmed by the falling debris. Arestovich deserves credit for admitting that Kiev therefore once again accidentally killed its own people like it’s already done on countless occasions thus far throughout the course of the conflict even if he didn’t intend to reveal this.

It appears in hindsight that he thought that he’d brag about the supposed effectiveness of his side’s air defenses in a misguided attempt to boost morale after Soledar’s liberation left his side with egg on its face upon wasting so many precious resources unsuccessfully trying to cling to it. All that he ended up doing was tacitly admitting to Kiev’s culpability in Saturday’s Dniepropetrovsk/Dnipro tragedy, however, hence why he likely regrets what he said but the soft power damage to his side is irreparable.
