"Post-independence Ukraine failed to fulfill its initially promising socio-economic potential due to incorrigible corruption, and when people finally began to protest this systemic problem, their movements were co-opted by the West as part of a geopolitical power play against Russia."

What an excellent little summary! (Please excuse me repeating it in full; I'm quite in awe of it.) Really — all of forty words and not much more to say. Nice work!

I like the picture, too!

"...Brzezinski’s precept..."

The root of the rot, the rotten apple.

But it would be unfair and counter-productive to lay all the blame at the door of those who succumbed to it; doing so would avoid dealing with the likes of the mentality behind the Fats of Nuland and Morons of McCain who double down on denial to bury their heads deeper in the 'deep state' trough.

Long before Brzezinski graced the halls of power in Washington, Eisenhower saw fit to warn his people in his farewell address (https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/president-dwight-d-eisenhowers-farewell-address); so, which came first: Eisenhower's chicken or Brzezinski's egg? You can't get chicks out of a chicken without a cock, and the Ukraine has somehow become one of America's most darling hatchlings!

"...an oligarchic dictatorship that’s obsessed with its role as the anti-Russia."

What an excellent synopsis, thank you!
