The Agricultural Commissioner is driven by solidarity with Poland’s “Law & Justice” party of which he’s a member, the need to protect the EU’s domestic interests, and the bloc’s interests in Ukraine redirecting its exports back to the Global South in order to compete with Russia for market share as the West’s proxy.
