Thank you very much for bringing this analysis to the readers. I think I agree with Mr. Kortunov and you completely. China is not as reliable a partner as the appearances suggest. Russian leaders would be better off to play equal distance between China and India. After all, multi-polarity means not only that no single political power makes decisions, but also no single strategy for all nations. In all these hustles and bustles, hopefully, Mr. Putin will not forget the CIS countries. Although all of them are covered by the Russian nuclear umbrella and openly announced so to the world, I wish Mr. Putin treats each CIS member with a peer mentality, if not inside, then at least on the outside. Chinese classical political literature is full of similar concepts even before Confucius' time.

I think one fundamental issue between India and China will never be resolved: The Tibetan Plateau is the source of so many large rivers in Asia. Height, not only has tactical significance but also strategic significance, when you consider how the hydropower plans along the way not only possess geological risks but also a very pragmatic man-made flooding risk. In China there was a discussion about how the three-gorge-dam caused the great earthquake of 2008 in southwest China. The discussions were quickly suppressed. The geology for these new hydropower projects is far more dangerous geologically than the three-gorge dam is. Politically this conflict can be resolved only if Tibet can become truly neutral (very consistent with Tibet's current religion) by certain agreement, but I don't think CCP China's leadership is wise enough. China has been full speed ahead on these hydropower projects due to power shortage in China's southwest. IMHO, multiple disasters are waiting to happen, even if they don't occur during my lifetime. No, I am not a geologist, if that can provide any comfort.

Russia, India and China all want to be sovereign, secure and prosperous and remain uninflicted by a desire to rule empire. They go about it differently yet together. India might be tolerating the West because they are busy colonizing the UK, Canada and the US. China is doing the same. Russia is not but that doesn't matter, they're still getting what they want.

Embrace the supercontinent rather than dominating the banking, bonds sells, currency values, place numerous military bases and establish dominance.
