My old argument: Iran wants a buy-off -- similar to what Iranian leaders said lately about other BRICS members. This is part of geopolitical pricing. If Turkiye can play this game against Russia, Iran certainly can play this game to Turkiye and Azerbaijan. Therefore, BRICS would work as a trade cooperation organization as long as political situations allow negotiation and compromise. The West, however, would try to disturb and provoke something unnegotiable, such as territorial claims, etc. For countries not particularly rich, patches of deserts and mountains mean a lot of glory and dignity.
