If anyone was ever looking for an example of deranged, self-lacerating foreign policy there is no need to look any further than Poland's attitude to Bielarus. President Lukaszenko is a stateman who cares for his people and his country in contrast to Poland's muppet show which passes for policy.

Re: "Poland Shouldn’t Close the Border with Belarus. Detrimental Impact of China Trade with Western Europe"...

Andrew - Here is my worry... Have you ever look at the matter of Anglo-american corporations that moved to China from the West, (US, Canada) to lower cost of production... Are the products imported from China to Europe - Chinese products, or are they corporate transnational products of the West and America, produced in China ? It seems like nobody want to talk about this issue...

The EU do not want to maintain their relationship with China because their boss tell them not to. Closing the border and the rail traffic would be a small problem for China as most of the existing trades go through by cargo ships.

There is enough evidence that you are simply a Russian propagandist and not an analyst, but anyway, it is unimaginably funny that you managed to write a text about the border blockade without even a single mention of the official reason why Poland is considering this decision. And reason is Russia and Belarus bringing in refugees storming the border. Organized transport , issuing visas, all to destabilise EU. But I understand that this topic could put you at odds with the altright idiots you are trying to catch.

Why'd you copy and paste your comment from X?

Let me copy and paste my replies:

That's a lie and you'd know it if you read the analysis before trolling.

I specifically addressed the illegal immigrant issue and even hyperlinked to one of my pieces where I analyze it:

Poland Can Defend Itself From Invading Illegal Immigrants Without Worsening Tensions With Russia

https://korybko.substack.com/p/poland-can-defend-itself-from-invading

You're just making yourself look foolish here by trolling me on false pretexts.

I get it, many fellow Poles are brainwashed and think that anyone who disagrees with the government on foreign policy is a Russian propagandist or whatever.

But we Poles have also always been fiercely independent, it's in our cultural code, and I'm proud to dissent.

It's also hilarious that you think I'm on the side of "altright idiots" or whatever when I dog the "groypers" all the time for being unabashed anti-Semitic bigots 🤡

I'm also kinda cringing too since "mean tweets" like yours lend false credence to stereotypes about us Poles (i.e. the P-word) 🤦‍♂️

1. I just didn't see at first that you can also comment on the substack ;)

2. Well, this is not a lie, as you can see from my comment, I read the text and noticed that there is no mention of the reason for this blocking. The message of this text is as if Poland was doing it for no apparent reason.

1. Ok

2. That's not true since I literally wrote that:

"Simply put, its leadership might have realized how counterproductive it would be to close the border with Belarus, which wouldn’t have any significant effect on stopping illegal immigrant invaders. Only more robust border security and cooperation with Belarus can help curb these flows."

As I wrote above, that sentence contains a hyperlink to the analysis that I already shared.

Pardon my ignorance about the border situation. But IMHO the border between two nations should always be closed except for designated transfer ports. If there has been no such fences between Belarus and Poland (or any two countries) then such fences should be built. The only issue is cost. If I think I need a fence more than my neighbor does, then I take the initiative to build the fence even if my neighbor disagrees with the expense. Good fence always make good neighbor. As for the potential Poland-Russia or Poland-Belarus wars, I think they are inevitable as long as USA dominates NATO. But even when there was no NATO, Poland still attacked east. There is no reason for Belarus or Russia to overlook this part of history.
