It’s too early to say whether the scenario of BRICS broadly bifurcating into yuan- and non-yuan-using members will come to pass, but it can’t be ruled out since India prefers its own currency for obvious reasons while others are afraid of facing the US’ wrath if they help the yuan replace the dollar.
