I find this information about Russia’s real stand towards Israel very reassuring. Given that Prime Minister Netanyahu has been unwilling to condemn Russia’s special military operation in conformity with the chorus of pro-Ukrainian stooges in the West it is easier to see why the globalists hate Netanyahu so much and why they have sought to destabilize Israel through covert interference in their domestic politics. May both Russia and Israel succeed in demilitarizing and deradicalizing their respective existential menaces.

For better or worse, Russia has a quite pragmatic relationship with Israel, just as Israel has always had a very pragmatic relationship with Arab states, even when those were the conduit for funding sponsoring Islamic extremists. Israel even tried to take advantage of Hamas, cynically, looking to divide and create a worthy enemy within the Palestinians. Which they got. And, after many rounds of bombings and mercilessly shooting up attempts by the Palestinians to do Gandhi style unarmed protest, among the endless degradations, here we are.

Personally think Lavrov would've been better leaving this subject alone. I can see how it is useful for Russia to let Israel - most unfortunately - dig its own grave and drag the US down with it... but there's no honest way to defend the conduct of the current Israeli state, not now.
