The Republican and Democratic parties are absolutely identical. There is no difference who is “ruling”. They are themselves corporations (as I’ve noted in a piece on my newsletter), and the “parties”, as it were, represent only two things. Concentrated wealth and corporate power. The meanderings of CNN, NY Times, MSNBC, et al. are not taken seriously by serious people. Nor should they be.
