Ukraine is done, finished helping Ukraine is not beneficial for the people of Ukraine

Nobody in Washington, Brussels or Kiev cares about helping the people in Ukraine. This was never about helping them.

"...unable to reconquer its lost lands..."

Read: 'unable to uphold American will' for which the US (CIA) inspired, motivated, fuelled and funded coup of 2014 was carried out.

"...Zelensky and his ilk aren’t known for their rational decisions."

"Too much coke and too much smoke;

Look what's going on inside you.

(Hell, yeah!)"

"Oak tree, you're in my way!" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4j7ggZqbiU)

Not really fair on Lynyrd Skynyrd. They were just wayward (and, actually, on a path to pull themselves together) before their drunken pilots jettisoned their fuel, instead of directing it to the other tank.

The Banderites, and others of like ilk, willing to subjugate themselves to the Americans, are not so innocent. I don't like the word, 'evil': it's silly; we all, including Hitler and Stalin, have our roles to play. It's not fair, however, to compare the intentions of Lynyrd Skynyrd with those of the CIA. But you get the point: buying people's will, like buying (and using) cocaine, doesn't, and shouldn't, end well. You might get away with a bit of medical cocaine in hospital, but covertly and intensively militarising a country for eight years (2014-22) is highly unlikely to lead anywhere wholesome.

"...desperately “escalating to de-escalate” on more of their terms, so observers shouldn’t rule that scenario out either."

But that requires a lack of faith in humanity's intelligence perhaps even beyond the cynicism of those who've climbed the greasy (and expensive!) pole to attain the 'right' to govern. Only recently we've seen: 1) the electorate's rejection in France, 2) riots in England, 3) the re-orientation of democracy in Germany. On the other hand, the Israelis seem to be getting away with their long-awaited genocide... It's a job to know, a guessing game.

God does seem to be on the Russians' side, so that's a good sign.

Probably best just to cross fingers, pray and wait it out; not much else CAN be done, actually; pray more vigorously.

Best to leave them at least the appearance of some way to retreat/survive. Cornered rats do desperate shit.

We've seen this movie before. Some western MSM outlet will publish a piece suggesting that not everything in Ukraine is all puppies and rainbows and alt-media proclaim a sea change has taken place.

Then some functionary at State snaps his fingers and MSM returns to form, possibly followed by a groveling apology.

"Ukraine and its Anglo-American “deep state” allies could also stage a major provocation aimed at desperately “escalating to de-escalate” on more of their terms, so observers shouldn’t rule that scenario out either." You are getting warmer.

CNN is the voice of the Pentagon. The Pentagon is preparing the American people for accepting an end to the war (at least, the hot phase) in Ukraine. When they wanted to sell more weapons for the benefit of the military industrial complex, they published endless articles of hope for Ukraine and disparaging Russian aggression, along with a mantra insisting that if the Russians are not stopped in Ukraine, Europe will be the next target. As if the Pentagon harbors any concerns for the European people...

As always, the natural resources are the motivation of this NATO conflict.

Gilbert Doctorow advanced an interesting opinion a few days ago during an interview he gave to Press TV (Iran). He observed that until just recently, we had seen corporate media reports that starkly differed from those coming from alternative media, whereas now the two have moved into much closer agreement. This and the Ukrainian cabinet "reshuffles" lead him to believe that Zelensky is on the way out, and he predicted that within a month, Z will either be on his way to Florida or to the graveyard.

CNN reporter Andrew Korybko. Ukraine was done 2 hrs into the special Russian operation a few yrs back. It was clear that the NATO backed plan to terrorize the Eastern sector of the country was folly. Everybody is foolish. Don't take it so bad. Foolishness is the core of earthbound tragedy as perceived through so called humanity.

I guess Ukrainian withdrawal from Kursk is out of the question given that in a TV broadcast Zelensky said they will hold onto the territory they have in the Kursk region.

Having watched Russia systematically take back swaths of Kursk land, and Ukrainian equipment and troops also systematically being destroyed, I guess Zelensky should have qualified his statement, saying that they will hold onto captured territory in Kursk until Russia removes them.

There's more speculation again about Germany pushing another peace summit, to which Russia will be invited this time, however everybody tends to overlook the fact that President Putin has said that Russia will Not negotiate with an illegitimate government under the Ukrainian Constitution, which is perfectly rational, given that for a negotiated ceasefire or peace deal to be legal and binding it requires that the parties have legal standing, which neither Zelensky nor his government have.

I have observed President Putin to be a man of his word over the past two and half years, and I don't see him changing his stance now.

Although last winter the fighting did abate slightly it was easier for Russian drones to spot military weapons and equipment which could no longer be hidden by foliage, and they were able to follow the path trodden by Ukrainian troops in the snow to their hideouts, which made them easy targets for drone and bombing attacks.

Unfortunately the West will not respect any goodwill gesture of land back etc..which President Putin puts on the table, and will see it as a sign of weakness and continue to push their agenda, and I believe that President Putin and his government realise this, which is another reason why the SMO will continue, and it is now up to the Ukrainian people to say, "enough is enough", and we will no longer fight, which is the only way to bring this conflict to an end, but it must come from the majority of Ukranians.

My big worry is how the extremists in Ukraine will try & provoke WW3, they've proven they're willing to try anything by attacking 2 nuclear plants. If any real bad damage of these plants was achieved by these extremists. Europe at the very least would be irradiated. It's doesn't bare thinking about what such a nuclear disaster would cause. Especially if it was proven Western weapons were used to attack these plants.
