China wasn’t ever going to be manipulated into de facto taking the US’ political side in this conflict against Russia by dint of joining Lula’s “peace club” and thus extending credence to his hostile demand that their shared BRICS partner immediately withdraw from all the territory that Kiev claims as its own.
Thank you very much Andrew for this, it perfectly sums up the whole Lula equilibrist act. Quite a few people need to read you more often to get a real sense of what's going on in Brazil - and elsewhere. Keep it up!
Thank you, I sincerely appreciate your kind feedback!
I also wish that more folks simply acknowledged objectively existing & easily verifiable facts from official sources like those that I've cited so that they can then produce more accurate assessments of Lula's third term.
One of the biggest disappointments to me this year thus far was to see how many of his supporters childishly deny "politically inconvenient" facts, and even worse, aggressively attack those who share them in toxic ways.
I sincerely hope that they grow up and start producing some quality work instead of just trolling.
You're welcome Andrew, I really mean it. I also concur, as I have been systematically mocked on a number of forums and chats when I was voicing simple and obvious truths about Lula and his government. Fortunately I also had some successes in conveying the message, notably here in Moscow where I reside, Brazil being of particular interest to me as my late Mother was from there and I know the country extensively. Anyhow, thanks again for your great work!
