Although some have suggested that the reason for its abstention might have just been that the Canadian-initiated and Western-backed amendment to explicitly condemn Hamas didn’t pass after India also voted in support of it, there’s arguably more to it than just that.
Doesn't Modi's passionarte Islamophobia and pro-Zionism have anything to do with his disgraceful UNGA votes? And anyway, why always say "India"instead of MODI when *everything* he does is part of his Hindutva project? But if that name cannot be uttered, why not at least use his preferred term "Bharat?"
1) If any of that was relevant, then India would have presumably voted against the resolution
2) India is more than one man or party, and it has a very well-trained diplomatic staff and astute strategists to guide foreign policy, exactly as most major countries do
