US dishonesty equals its ultimate goal to dissolve the Russian Federation. Time to listen and act in accordance with direction of Medvedev. The hostility of the Baltic states will always be a launching pad for NATO warfare against Russia. Forget any niceties, take them out before NATO is fully prepared.

Lies repeated a thousand times become the truth. There is a solid example for that: go to China and ask them who shouldered the main burden of fighting against Japanese during WW2 in the China Theater. Then go ask Japanese the same question. The Chinese would tell you that Chinese Communist forces shouldered the main burden of fighting against Japanese (General

Vasily Chuikov of the Stalingrad fame would argue against that with his personal experiences.) The Japanese, especially the younger generation, would tell you that Japanese did not invade China. Japanese army only attacked in retaliation against Chinese army aggression, but they cannot tell you where the Chinese aggression happened. Don't believe their answers ? Check their official textbooks for high schools and below.

Frankly, I don't think it's implausible that Ukraine didn't let the US know what it was planning. I wouldn't rule it out. I think Zelensky likes to emulate Israel, giving the US which subsidizes it and incurs great strategic costs in doing so, the finger whenever it feels like it.

Of course, the US being the hidden hand behind the Kursk operation is also plausible.

Now what mostly matters is the military outcome of the operation.

Andrew--are you perhaps able to provide a couple of links to any good analysis or discussion about the level of pre-war Russian assistance to the Donbass?
