Instead of obsessing over this incident and getting the hopes of Kiev’s supporters unrealistically high, it would be much more responsible for the media to precondition everyone to expect the seemingly inevitable resumption of peace talks.

I have a question: ISW reports that some of Russia’s most effective military commanders are being removed due to disloyalty. Will this cripple Russia’s operations? And a bigger question - what will NATO’s decision to admit Ukraine once the war is over do to Putin’s willingness to enter into a peace agreement, leaving aside Zelensky’s determination to win back every ounce of 1991 territory and his refusal to negotiate with Putin, calling instead for regime change?
